Programme had to be ordered by 3rd to be here for the game, assume we'll see them in next day or 2. Also assume packs will arrive at doors in next day or so.
Guest Manini Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 We’ve had Abide With Me sung at both of my grandparents funerals, I remember asking my dad why he chose those and he just went “FA Cup Final, it’s the only hymn I know”

When we turn up, we can give anyone a game I just hope we really go for it Wouldnt it be a dream to see Vards score the winner 👍 ....if we settle down quickly into the game, we have a chance!!! Rodgers notoriously cautious so I would suspect that we attempt to keep things tight and try to play ourselves into the game and be in touch and not out of the game by halftime. Can see a press by Chelsea and us being on the back foot struggling to keep a clean sheet. Praet and Perez could well be a big part of this by being the extra man in midfield where they share the role of matching any dominance of the Chelsea midfield overload. 1

An hour of how they got there with highlights of all the rounds up to the final. Then they'd be interviewing the the players on the coach to the ground and around the pitch, then half hour of Jimmy Hill talking shit before kick off. It'd almost make it worth not being able to go. Wholeheartedly agree. Don't forget that, at one point, both BBC and ITV were showing the game. You had a choice between Brian 'getting right in there, across the face of goal' Moore and Jon' I rather fancy' Motson as commentators. The brass band, and abide with me being sung -at such a young age I had no ideal as to why this was appropriate for the FA Cup final. The iconic twin towers, and the distinctive Wembley goals, wondering what it would be like to be there and see the net ripple with a Youngie goal

Blarmy Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 Not started bricking it yet, which is good as I’m still coming down from the Man U game. I’m not sure what effect simultaneously buzzing from one game and bricking the next would have on me.
ARM1968 Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 It’s still the same. Potentially our 2nd best season ever, but also still the looming prospect of disaster compared to what could be. Uncomfortable to say the least.
TWUKO Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 Does anyone know which kit we are wearing yet? Originally I saw the fixture was down as Leicester vs Chelsea, now everywhere seems to say Chelsea vs Leicester, so does that mean we are the away team? The BT sport on screen tile thing used maroon, but didn't think we could use maroon as they don't have any King Power sponsored shirts? I assume at some point before the final there must be a coin toss between the 2 clubs, or is it randomly decided?

We’re going out naked in the hope that Cag’s can bludgeon some of the opposition to death by accident. 2

Dorkingfox Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 Ian Wright thinks we will get turned over big time, that is how we like it. “Chelsea are so militant in the way they are playing at the moment. It’s so good and it’s quite scary. “They’ve got enough players that can just win. Whereas you look at Leicester. I’m looking at (Youri) Tielemans, Kelechi (Iheanacho). “If you get (N’Golo) Kante in and around Tielemans, just blotting people, where’s the creation coming from? “I just can’t see Leicester beating them. I see Chelsea winning at a canter.”
Pliskin Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 Chilwell **** up will be the difference. If Ben is playing get after him, lad will shit himself if you do.
trabuch Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 "Militant" is a beautiful use of the word. militant /ˈmɪlɪt(ə)nt/ Learn to pronounce adjective favouring confrontational or violent methods in support of a political or social cause. 1
ARM1968 Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 Tbf we will be huge underdogs and no real shame in that. We didn’t spend over £200 million last summer. They should be fuching favourites. However, in the FA Cup strange things can happen. What will be will be on the hallowed turf of Wembley.
murphy Posted 12 May 2021 Posted 12 May 2021 I think this would mean more to me than even the PL title. I have always dreamt of us lifting the cup since I was a kid and I've watched the likes of Wimbledon, WIgan, Portsmouth and Coventry win it. I never dreamt that winning the league was possible so I never pined for it. 3

I agree they should be favourites, we prefer it that way, but even with Chelskis spending they are not that much better than us, they will not win at a canter!! 2

It was the only live football I had as a youth and it was massive. All I ever wanted was Leicester to win the FA Cup. The league was unbelievable. But us winning the league was probably the greatest moment in sport - let alone football. The FA Cup is for us. The Leicester fans. 5

There's no way he makes a comment like that about the likes of Arsenal or Tottenham, for example. My view in general is that the media pundits who played for Big 6 clubs don't really rate us. They give off the vibe that we've got an average team that is overachieving through brilliant coaching and management by Brendan.
