Just to let you all know I'm in the "feeling sick" phase of nerves for tomorrow (and wondering if I should just start drinking now...)

My FA Cup history starts with me as a Liverpool fan....yeah...yeah...whatever...get in back in your cage...it's not like I was the only Liverpool fan in the village during the mid 80's.

Just as many have illustrated on here, my love of the FA Cup during those years was strong.

It was probably the only saturday of the year where I'd want Philip and Sarah on Going Live to STFU!! and hand over to Des for the FA Cup coverage.

The montage's, the interviews, the celebrities and that perfect BBC coverage, now reserved for deaths in the Royal Family, were all monumental occasions in my life, even when it wasn't Liverpool in the final.

If the red button had have existed in those days and coverage was available, I would have watched the whole bus journey from Liverpool to Wembley, it was just incredible.

My Dad would put on a classic British barbecue. He'd light the coals as soon as he arrived back from the boozer at 14:30'ish and by half time, charcoal dogs and burgers would be served, superb.

I stopped supporting Liverpool and switched alleigence to Leicester City on February 6th 2016  :fishing:

Okay, it was 1990/91'ish when I woke and It was only until I got fully submerged into the LCFC history that I leant that Leicester held the record for most lost FA Cup finals.

First of all, I was astonished to learn that Leicester were actually, at some point, good enough to reach an FA Cup Final, let alone 4.

And then secondly, to imagine us reaching an FA Cup final, during early 90's, was something only reserved for family and friends in Carlton Hayes.

The Play Off Finals's were epic, just less sophisticated in those years.

Anyone that actually has memories from those play-off finals, should be preserved in the LCFC Trophy room, because no f***er else remembers them .

Obviously, like many, the closest I've experienced to an FA Cup Final was during the O'Neil League Cup finals, which were ultimately special because we won a couple.

So like for many again, this is the first FA Cup final I get to experience as an actual supporter.

Whilst I firmly believe the FA Cup needs a lot of magic restoring in it, tomorrow afternoon will be a truly epic day for every Leicester City Fan no matter where you watch it.

I can already feel my emotion rising for when the team walks out tomorrow at Wembley, and whichever way the result goes, it should not override the history, occasion and the statement it makes having Leicester City competing in the biggest domestic cup competition, still, in the world.

Couldn't see Evans training with the boys today. Not ideal preparations, but still hope he starts.

Brendan said he's training on his own, I think.

With 5 subs allowed, I think we can afford to start him if he's more-or-less ready.

Would be a huge boost to have him in the side.

just a couple more hours at work and then can start really getting excited about this.

Cup Final day and we're in it!

Can't wait to hear "Abide With Me" - every time I heared it at the Cup Final, I always dreamed one day it might be us.

Fantastic. Getting my stuff sorted tonight - you know -  ticket, covid test result, mask, sanitiser, silver dagger, rabbits foot, clove of garlic

Buzzing!

I mean they are good players but I don't think they are psychic.

I think Evans is going to be touch & go won't know until the last minute. Even if he doesnt play its good to keep tommy tickler guessing how we will set up. I really hope Johnny boy can play he deserves to and we really could use him but if not the lads will step up for him.

Yeh me too this day is gonna be a wash as I can't seem to focus on anything else other than tomorrow.

Already ordered my ESPN+ so I'm all set up to watch on the big screen tv (no dodgy streams that might not work risk).

Have no idea who the american network will have as commentators hope its someone good and no cheslski ex-players please god.

Good luck to our players they could become legends again some of them and some of them new.

I think i will be in tears when I see OUR fans for the 1st time outside and inside the stadium (my people)! Sing yer hearts out blue army:chant::scarf:

Are you on the wind up? The play off finals were momentous occasions and a massive part of our history. I was too young for the first 3 finals but went to the Palace one and have watched millions of times the Swindon comeback and the Derby win. Huge parts of us growing as a club and reemerging after an awful 80s. We made Wembley our 2nd home in the 90s and will always be in our folklore. The Thompson equaliser, The Walsh winner, Claridge 120th minute shinner winner, all iconic City moments.

No, this is no wind up.

Congratulations...you are a chosen one that has lucid memories of our Play-Off finals.

I'm happy your memories can fill in blanks for the large section of supporters that were too plastered to remember those days.

Morning drinking is the answer, that’s why we’re getting to the bar at 9 am in New York.

Yeah, I've been totally apathetic to this since we won the semi final. In my mind Chelsea had their name on the trophy. Not it's getting closer, i'm getting excited and really hopeful of pulling off a win. It's a relief to know I'm still capable of excitement lol

Might have to have a few beers to help me nod off..

I remember being in Hollywood one weekend and there was a 5:30 game on in England which kicked off a 9:30 in Hollywood. Found a sports bar and was drinking by myself watching the game. I managed to do all 10 guest lagers during the game while talking to a bar man that I'm sure was not at all interested in my footballing opinions lol

Is it a 12:15pm kick off in NY? A solid 3 hours pre gaming :D
