Ryan Giggs charged with ABH and Assault

Recommended Posts

Innocent or not something about him has always come across as odd and slightly fvcked up.

The look he has on his face at times its not hard to imagine that behind closed doors that he has it in him to be a vile fvcker.

I'm sure his brother is raising a glass or two tonight.

Always seemed a nasty piece of work to me.

Overrated footballer as well.

Modern day wide fowards/wingers are expected to score 15+ goals a season. Giggs only hit double figures 4 times in 24 seasons, playing for the best team in England his whole career. Players like Hazard, Bale, Robben etc are better than Giggs.

I think in his heart of hearts he knows he's really English, but he 'came out' as being Welsh and has regretted it ever since.

That's enough to fvck anyone up :D

How could the Welsh Football Association known of this sort of behaviour before they hired him?

They couldn't, I don't think anyone is suggesting they could have are they?

I would await until the conclusion of any legal proceedings and add the caveat that he denies the charges, before commenting on those charges.

But feel free to bring up the fact that he was thick enough to be having it away with his brother's missus for years and years.

To charge him, the CPS obviously feel they have a case. Since Nov, it would appear they have been building the evidence – not perhaps on the minor assault – but the controlling and coercive behaviour between 2017-20.

If over that period there is evidence for this and the evidence can demonstrate a high level of intent, seriousness, victim consequences and frequency it may result in a custodial sentence. The max is 5 years but sentencing ranges from community orders to 4 years usually and the guidelines for this are measured on two things: Culpability (there are three tiers A,B & C usually, and relate to conduct) and two sometimes 3 categories which relate to harm / seriousness of harm caused. Unless the defence can prove his innocence or prove the evidence presented falls into the very lowest thresholds for each category – it's likely he'll serve time.

Different formations though. Man Utd played 442. Wingers now are basically forwards.

Someone who plays that many games in such a good side, and wins so much, isn't overrated. But then again, people forget how good players were.

Giggs was still playing regular for a good Man Utd side at 31. Bale struggles to get in a poor Spurs side.
