We've never done it before, but other teams have done it, e.g. Naby Keita to Liverpool and Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea. John Percy called out Soumare, Edouard and Gosens as three we were definitely interested in, so that's one down two to go. Perhaps though getting them depends on Champions League football; Edouard was linked with Milan, Arsenal and Leicester, so it's between Milan and us now (what an incredible sentence to write!).
