StriderHiryu Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 Done deal. Man U getting Ronaldo likely means no chance for us or West Ham getting top 4 this season Still incredible to see him back in the league.
Samilktray Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 Genuinely not very excited to see Ronaldo back in the Prem to be honest 2
Greg2607 Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 you can see just how poor all those big 4 clubs were and why they desperately needed the ESL money. 3
Shit_arse Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 Great to see him back in the EPL. Interesting to see if he still 'has it'

It was never a fair competition. 1

Hope Man City go mad for Håland or Mbappe now. Anyone too disheartened about United singing Ronaldo need to wake up because they still have Solskjaer orchestrating 0-0s at home to Newcastle. 1 1
Corky Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 I'm glad it's done quickly. SSN will be unbearable but at least we won't have endless hours of trying to find where the bloke is, what he's doing, how close is it? and all that.

Our title win in 15/16 genuinely broke football. Terrified the big teams that the mantle could be breached. Kind of disgusting how the game has evolved since then. Man City and Chelsea both signing 100m players, Man U getting Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo. Meanwhile we are selling Kamal Sowah and will play Marc Albrighton to cover for the suspended Ayoze Perez! People are upset we didn't make the Champions League but I feel like in the future people will be saying "how did Leicester make top 5 twice and win the FA Cup in that era with that squad?" Just a shame we couldn't get top 4, because we probably needed that to keep competing. But would still far rather support this club than those that finished above us. 10

Koke Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 It'll be nice to see him in the flesh again. But worryingly for us, top 4 look unachievable now.
Vacamion Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 (edited) Wasn't Gary Neville moaning when the ESL was proposed that Old Trafford is falling apart because the owners are ruining the club? Given the acquisition of Sancho and Ronaldo *, I presume they will let it fester a bit longer. *Edit: Jesus, I forgot Varane. Edited 27 August 2021 by Vacamion
Leicesterpool Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 Got to say that kind of came out of nowhere from United. Thought he was city bound credit to Ronaldo for staying loyal to the United faithful and jumping straight for the money to city.

He said they should lose half their TV money yet wants them to spend £100-odd million on a player Don't let it bother anyone. We've won trophies and had a great time. We're in a genuinely interesting European competition with an intriguing group of teams. The Premier League needs to have players like this to keep the boast about the money it brings in. We can still do very well in our own way.

Micky Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 Well living just outside of Manchester I will be doing my best to go and watch the guy. A football legend of the highest order. Great for the premier league and young English kids all over.

Brainy Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 How can Man Utd sign one of the worlds best players in six hours but we take two years and counting to sign a winger I know Man Utd didn't likely just start start negotiations etc. today 2
Sly Posted 27 August 2021 Posted 27 August 2021 The Premier League, is the best League in the world. How many of the worlds best players now play outside of it? 10?
