Yes Morgan was hopeless at this level. We never even looked like taking a point off the bottom sides let alone getting ourselves clear of them.

But the issue isn't the coaches it's the players. We got rid of a lot of players that had got used to winning in the close season.  A lot of the ones that have come in were bit-part players at their previous clubs or from bottom half sides used to struggling. We need a group that are used to winning and actually give each other a bollocking for making mistakes. This lot look like "Foxes Never Quit" has been replaced by "Be Kind. Always" or "Live Laugh Love"

Agree about Morgan, but I don't think any of the released players, with the exception of Remi Allen, would have made any difference at all.  The problem is the replacements weren't any sort of upgrade for the most part.  Hopefully staying in the league will allow for better quality recruitment - looking overseas might be the way to go.

It's not just the money those Rich 6 teams have so much kudos that they will draw in the best even if the pay was all the same.

Would have preferred the teams to be independent and named differently from the PL teams.

The problem with that is that you'd get less media coverage, less money and less interest in it from people like you and me. Would you be watching a game between say Leicester United and West London Rovers?

True but it would show more honestly how popular it was.

If the interest is there then the organic growth would accelerate.

I'm not convinced the media is showing the level of interest out of a financial gain rather than to demonstrate they are all for diversity and equality so the media interest would still be there.

I knew we would struggle through the season but not this...

I don't think it's looking for blame either,

The chasm of quality between some sides would shame the Grand Canyon...Though I do believe over the next seasons it will balance out somewhat..

....in Morgan's last game, we looked organised and had taken a different approach to the league!!!

We were defensively strong with two banks of players with little space for the opposition to play between the lines. As usual we had no one with pace upfront who could breakaway and hurt teams. It would have been interesting to see how we would have progressed, but it would have been a tough call to stay with him after all those defeats at the start of the season.

Libby Smith had been at the club for a few years and has done okay for Birmingham this season. Sigsworth definitely not an upgrade on her.

We've missed players like Gayle, Cain and Devlin who have a bit of flair & pace. After seeing a bit of her last season I thought Devlin would be a standout this season. Hannah doing her ACL was a huge blow.

How embarrassing , have they no professional pride. Surely how can the management let this go on. Disband the bloody lot and save the money.

....we are comfortably ahead of Birmingham in the league and will be in this league next season!!!

It is the recruitment we make for next season which will see how competitive we become. First Season up, Chelsea has lots of quality, we have shown how far we are in thought and ability on the pitch. We should be better, we just do not seem to understand what we need to do on the pitch and our pedestrian movements does us no favours.

Talksport were doing a full match commentary with Nigel Adderley and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk (ex City). Got to half-time and they've pulled the game. It's now cricket commentary on Talksport 1 & 2. They didn't even go back to the game when Chelsea scored their 7th! This must be the first time ever that this has happened.

Interesting to do now. Windies have just won.

Must be panicking at Talksport.

...I must admit I have watched Bailey-Gayle and she is just a passenger in the team, neither tracking back or supporting going forward!!!

Devlin is a skilful player, can beat a man and competent on the ball, she also has no pace and she cannot get away from the player she had just beaten, because she lacks the pace to do so.

Not sure why Devlin was not getting game time under Morgan, not sure if it was a difference of opinions, but with her ability on the ball, you would have thought she would have been an option..

Unbelievable again it’s see our team lose(ing) and in this fashion & start venting without really understanding any background.

The step up to professional is massive, it’s almost on par going non league to top Premiership.
The brief would have been try and stay in the league and that meant to try and stay above either BHM or Villa who are both on the decline as financial support for those 2 teams is being withdrawn to go on mens teams as those clubs boards didn’t see any financial gain in the WSL.

They knew there was going to be some cricket scores along the way against the likes of Chelsea who have Internationals in every position, no shame in that.

To also say Morgan should have stayed is just bizarre, he was totally out of depth but no failing on him it’s the jump up he just wasn’t ready for all that being in the top league brings.

Bedford is in the FA system she is streets ahead of what’s required at this level v Morgan & again it’s not a hit at Morgan it’s a reality of being professional and in the big league.

Why does there have to be an assignation of the set up did anyone really think this was going to be anything less than a big loss, this game won’t keep or drop us from this league

....I do not really see fitness as an issue, just some kind of nous on the pitch!!!

We are slow all over the pitch, can't string passes together, unable control balls to their feet. We seem to be bringing in new players but no one with any pace and that will make such a big difference. Can't tackle or compete, 50/50s become 80/20 in the other teams favour, because we do not know how to do the basics.

We cannot continue to bring in the same kind of players in, as it is clogging up the squad, and not giving this squad options on or off the bench.

I agree with that last part about transfers. I used to do a fitness and conditioning role for a womens team and I do think pace and stamina can be improved and that it makes a huge difference. There is promise in this team and I think with the integration efforts of late we will see that pay dividends.

I've not watched us a great deal this season but I've not seen a lot of Bailey-Gayle. From last season's viewing, she's quick and strong but needed to work on the more technical aspects of her game.

She's probably there for the out ball and consequently looking a little lost.
