.....we tend to be the same against most teams!!!

Getting stuck in is not what we do, coming up against teams like Chelsea and score lines such as this, should be no surprise to anyone.

Yes I know and I do watch. . But that’s where we need to go. We don’t get close enough. We need to get to their level of fitness if we are to close the gap. When we get the ball we need to get in space and offer. Will take time. Such a gulf in class between the top teams and the rest, particularly recently promoted teams.

They receive funding from the Chelsea mens through their football in community programme.  ie....loads of dosh from Abramovich

Do all these teams rely on funding from the mens game then? Surely it would be a lot better and fairer if these sides weren't linked to men's sides

I think the funding should be separate but we'd still be two divisions below if that was the case. Bear in mind King Power weren't involved until about 18 months ago.

It's games like this that make me question why broadcasters & the media in general push the women's game like they do as some sort of equal to the men's league, even at the point where websites don't list "Women's" and "Men's" teams & leagues now. You won't attract new followers & fans by having walkovers like this every week, it's a Celtic & Rangers style of domination

Saw the first 20 mins and to think that I thought the men's team defended poorly. Some of it was comically bad. Don't think you'd even expect or accept the non marking on the second goal at Sunday league level. Zero defensive shape as though they've just come for a kickabout at the park.

I know the feeling is that women's football should be viewed on its own merit and not compared to the men's game but when you have people like Megan Rapinoe asking for equal pay, even if you look at it from a commercial or entertainment perspective, how an earth can you argue when the quality is so far way from elite sport in so many aspects (not all). Hope the investment will really uplift it as the quality has improved a lot but it lags a long way behind other women's sports in terms of quality, even things that haven't been so established like cricket and rugby.

In the USA the women regularly attract 30000 crowds, and have a longer history than the mens game. In the UK a crowd of 4000 is a good attendance (home to Man Utd...surprisingly)

I get the point, but in the U.S. -- where women's football is exponentially more popular -- the local leagues are really financially precarious. In all honesty, the support from the men's game provides much needed financial stability.

This will definitely end up in double figures. Sadly we are much better since Bedford took over!!

Playing Devil's advocate here, but has she done anything that Jonathan Morgan couldn't have done? She did take over just as they were about to hit their easiest run of fixtures.

And this is kind of the problem. The women's game in the US is at a higher level to the WSL and why England look a yard slower when the likes of Rapinoe & co are on the pitch. You can see why they ask for higher pay because they're on a higher level. Can you imagine any of the current female team deserving a 6 figure salary? They'd be laughed out of the room.

Some of the play i have witnessed since turning it on is inexcusable! Players marking fresh air and not following runners, flrmation is all over the shop when chelsea attack.

I would find it difficult to watch that week in week out.

Second half i would like to see the girls attempt to try and keep the ball rather than clearing it long and just gift possession straight back.

Don't watch the ladies team so thought I'd give it a go today. Obviously Chelsea are a better team on the ball but they look a lot fitter too.

....I do not really see fitness as an issue, just some kind of nous on the pitch!!!

We are slow all over the pitch, can't string passes together, unable control balls to their feet. We seem to be bringing in new players but no one with any pace and that will make such a big difference. Can't tackle or compete, 50/50s become 80/20 in the other teams favour, because we do not know how to do the basics.

We cannot continue to bring in the same kind of players in, as it is clogging up the squad, and not giving this squad options on or off the bench.

Yes Morgan was hopeless at this level. We never even looked like taking a point off the bottom sides let alone getting ourselves clear of them.

But the issue isn't the coaches it's the players. We got rid of a lot of players that had got used to winning in the close season.  A lot of the ones that have come in were bit-part players at their previous clubs or from bottom half sides used to struggling. We need a group that are used to winning and actually give each other a bollocking for making mistakes. This lot look like "Foxes Never Quit" has been replaced by "Be Kind. Always" or "Live Laugh Love"

Chelsea now 1-100,000 to win with Leicester a poor value 70-1 on William Hill

Tempted to stick a quid on Chelsea to see how they pay me

I imagine you'd get exactly £1. 00 back. At least you'll have made William Hill work for nothing.
