We should get the Zambian guys to sign up on here and teach @Izzy how to be funny

Better yet, maybe we can teach them some of our hilarious club nicknames like Spuds and Manure 😂🤣😂🤣🤤

In Austria he had a very smart RB sponsored Audi.....

No worries ... I hear this is still parked in the players' lot.  Very low mileage.

It's really nice to see a player overwhelmed to be joining the club. He seems so positive about it which is great to see.

I suspect is he happy to get out of Austria.........

Daka called when he got the word
And he said, "
Vards suppose you've heard... about Perez?"

Vards rushed to the window and  looked outside
And
he could hardly believe his eyes
As a big limousine rolled up, into
the Seagrave training ground

Oh, I don't know why he's leaving
Or where he's gonna go
I guess he's got h
is reasons
But I just don't want to know
'Cause for 24
months
I've been playing next to Perez

24 months just waiting for a chance
To tell h
im how I feel, and maybe score a goal and have a dance
Now I've got to get used to not playing next to Perez

We played  together, two lads on the park
We played from morning until it was dark
Me and Perez

Now he walks through the door, with his head held high
Just for a moment, Vards caught
his eye
As a big limousine pulled slowl
y  out of the Seagrave training ground

And Daka called back and asked how Vards felt

And he said, I know how to help get over Perez

He said , now Perez has gone

But now I’m here

You know I’ve been waiting 24 months

As a big limousine pulled slowly out of the Seagrave training ground

24 months…

Interesting piece in the Times - Salzburg's attacking plays set up so Daka could run between lines, particularly looking for runs behind centre halves. Said to have a sloppy first touch, a weakness which has shown itself in European games, but it's suggested his willingness to improve through coaching will make him better when this has improved.

A very promising signing; a direct Vardy replacement over the next year or so?

Not as sloppy as Musa, I hope.

Vardys wasn't always the immaculate touch we've come to know. The first season it was obvious he needed coaching. It's something we can teach.

From the Liverpool Echo. Sounds like sour grapes from a fan to me:

Daka could evolve into a highly capable performer in England but ultimately, Liverpool's relationship with Red Bull and their decision to pass up on his services suggests that the club wish to aim higher.

Strangely enough, Daka's wearing a Perez shirt to say his goodbyes in the Salzburg dressing room.

I don’t want to be negative but this isn’t the signing we need.

I know from a scout who has looked at Central Europe his composure is not good and in terms of work rate he won’t be a vardy replacement by any means. This side have won the league multiple times in a row.

He won’t be any better than what we already have. I suspect come Jan he will be loaned out.

Ffs 😂😂😂😂😂

I know from a former Boy Scout who has looked at porn from central Europe, if you scramble "Countesthorpe Fox" you get "putrescent ox hoof"

He rates Daka though.  Not that the guy knows anything about football.

Every time I see an LCFC player take a bad first touch I’m reminded of Akinbiyi.

I would hope a good first touch is a given if you’ve just been signed for £23m?!

In fact some people (who shall remain anonymous) called him a pub player - His first touch apparently was carp and not something that could be taught.

As you say Jamie's first touch has improved immeasurably and this lad is clearly the heir apparent and we need to give him our full support - No bl**dy boo'ing

Even now Vardy isn't always perfect. If he has a weakness with his game it's his ball control, think we all know that.

Daka's touch can't be any worse than Iheanacho and he managed to be our top scorer whilst apparently wearing trampolines for shoes.

I think the stats talk for themselves. And you’re scout ... how many badges does he have? Tying knots? Building a den? Wildlife awareness badge?
