Think he even said he had talks but then it just felt wrong leaving so stayed with Liverpool. Exactly how I remember it... And then the following morning one of the Liverpool big-wigs came out and announced to Sky that Gerrard had decided to stay.

Jack's good but nowhere near that good. Good question. I’m going for around what Kane is being touted 150 million, that’s in today’s market,
ScrumpyJack Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 These Grealish-Maddison comparisons are horrendous. Grealish is a ball-carrier, Maddison has seemingly lost that ability. Any comparisons begin and end with Boohoo Man deal. 1

Grealish might be the better athlete but Maddison has a significantly higher footballing intelligence. In fact, having listened to both of them be interviewed I'm pretty confident Maddison's got a lot more intelligence full stop. Maddison reads the game better, gets his head up, plays for his team mates, picks a fantastic through ball. I'd have him in our side over Grealish to be quite honest. What the fvck would we do with 295328538 set pieces a game? We still wouldn't score from any of them. your opinion is fine but i'm probably looking at the best manager of the generation signing Grealish and taking that into account.

Buce Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 Maddison looks like he eats nothing but lettuce and masterbates 10 times a night. 1 2

Coming deep to get involved, moving out to the left, moving into the middle, winning free kicks, taking players on. Every time I watch Leicester, I rarely see Maddison on the ball, he doesn't come deep, he doesn't come looking for the ball, he goes into hiding. He's miles behind Grealish. Saying Maddison is a team player and Grealish isn't, is one of the worst bits of footballing analysis i've ever read. Grealish leads by example....Maddison strops about doing little. 1

Dan Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 I think in time we'll look back on not taking the money from Arsenal in the same way we did with Gray and Bournemouth.

Disagree with that. Maddison is often dropping deep (and hindering our attack) to receive the ball. He's not somebody who hides. He gets bullied and marked out of games too often but he tries to get involved. 1
Pliskin Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 I can still see Arsenal making a deadline day bid. It will be interesting to see what we will do, especially if we get a wide player in.
Bptiger Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 Let’s face it in two games he has done nothing , he can’t hold the ball , he looks like he doesn’t want to be there , maybe take $50 million and move on , because if he keeps playing like he is , he’s no good to us .

fuchsntf Posted 24 August 2021 Posted 24 August 2021 (edited) Ffs Maddison hasn t been 100% Match fit for over a year, it will take him Another few months to fully get into the tact & pace of the game.I If He doesn't have Another relapse Personally I would rather see Praet/KDH, or maybe Tielemans take presently Maddisons position ,und bring him on as a sub... Ricardo is only just re- finding his form,Barnes needs gametime in his Legs, I am Not Sure of Ndidi, or Castagna... Our problem none of our injuries have been Minor or Everyday niggles...
