Key points to quickly assimilate :-

- We are rubbish

- We’ve been rubbish for 137 years

- In 2016 - 21 we stopped being rubbish and became brilliant

- Now, nobody is quite sure if

we’re rubbish or brilliant.
- The fans on here who think we are rubbish argue with the ones who think we are brilliant.

- The fans on here who think we are brilliant argue with the ones who think we are rubbish.
- Some fans on here will argue the opposite way to you, no matter which camp you, or they, are in.
- Basically, getting emotionally attached to a footie team is brilliant. And rubbish. Often at the same time.

Either way, welcome. 👍 🇺🇸

This began as rubbish..... but now is brilliant

Great to hear from another Charlottean! I'm glad that you've found this online community as I did over seven years ago. FoxesTalk is an incredible resource and if you spend enough time digging in around here, you'll be well-rewarded.

Seems like the Charlotte area is going to be developing a critical mass of Foxes soon...we may need to formalize the sometimes talked about 'Carolina Foxes' organization! @MPH there has to be at least 10 of us in Mecklenburg County these days.

I say hi to you all from all the way over here in the United States...Charlotte, North Carolina to be exact.  As a new fan, I obviously only have some (closer to little) knowledge about the team, so I was hoping if anyone could help me with any insight or information that I need to know about the team so that I'm ready to cheer on my new favorite team for this upcoming season and on.

If anyone cares as to how I came to becoming an LCFC fan, here's how it happened...

Apart from being born into it, I feel like most people get their fandom and build their love for a team during their childhood period.  Unfortunately, soccer's popularity here in the States was extremely low during that period of time for me.  I'm in my mid-20s now and the sport seems like it did not start gaining true popularity here until about a decade ago, so I feel like I never had the opportunity since I was never truly exposed to the sport early to gain that love and interest.  I didn't know about leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc.  (Hell, I didn't even know we had our own league here in the US), I thought only national teams played the sport.

As I mentioned, the popularity started to pick up for it here, which finally caught my interest around 2017.  I started to watch a little of every league here and there.  Now, for me, and I believe for almost all, it's way more fun and easier to be into a sport when you have a favorite team, as that makes it all more interesting.  Now, my favorite teams are all my local hometown teams (Carolina Panthers for the NFL, Charlotte Hornets for the NBA, and Carolina Hurricanes for the NHL...I'm loyal, baby), so I'm basically born into them.  During this time, even though I still enjoyed watching games, I still found it hard to be fully into it as I did not have a team to root for since the MLS did not have a team here in Charlotte/Carolina and I did not have any sort of connection to a team in another league either.  It's hard for me to just pick a team out of nowhere with no real reason.

During the past couple of years, the football/fubol/soccer (don't wanna offend anyone) leagues that I've been mostly watching are the MLS and the Premier League.  Then my interest in the sport and the MLS reached major heights when it was announced in late 2019 that my home city of Charlotte was awarded an expansion team (inauguration season being next year), and finally having a hometown team to cheer on.  With my interest in the sport being really high, I started to watch Premier League matches more frequently, still not following one team but I was drawn more towards Leicester City and watched their matches more than the other English teams because of their beautiful kits.

This past season while watching a Leicester City match, I don't remember what sparked the memory but I remembered...back in January of 2016 during the Carolina Panthers' Super Bowl run, Leicester City players and LC's twitter account showing major support for the Panthers during that run (even though back then I had no idea who they were when I saw that tweet).  I feel like this memory eventually started to grow my true love for Leicester City.  I started following Leicester City more closely towards the end of this past season and felt so much disappointment when they were unable to clinch a top-4 finish to qualify for the CL on the last day.  That disappointment that I felt was the first time I ever felt any type of major feeling for a team in this sport, for me to feel that...I knew that I had become an LCFC fan.

Then lastly, the news of Charlotte FC signing Christian Fuchs, just made that connection feel stronger between me and Leicester City and felt like icing on the cake.

I already appreciate you all, and am looking forward to this season!

Welcome! There is no better way to describe this club than a rollercoaster.

Another thing to know is we also have half time entertainment like in the super bowl, with the club even treating us once to Sam Bailey and her rendition of ‘Skyscraper’!

All transfer threads must get to a minimum 100 pages before a transfer can go through.

Most transfers see players go through about  30 medicals.

Mahrez is a fantastic, one-in-a-million cvnt of a legend. Serious love/hate on here for him lol

If you've spotted a footballer in Morrisons then they must be coming to Leicester.

I make way too many silly sexually oriented comments however  @Dr The Singh   likely owns the gold medal on this forum.

Soyuncu's cock is fukin massive. No first hand knowledge but a friend of a friend of a friend told me.

Oh and @fuchsntf is not drunk when he posts.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy the ride!

Congratulations on choosing to support the greatest team in the world.

Please buy official merchandise, and not Chinese knockoffs, despite the majority of this forum doing exactly that.

Please note..... the club doesnt stock XXXL goalkeeper shirts, and the size of the shirt changes every year.  This years XXL is more like an XL

OH,

And Peter Taylor is a TWAT. (Conduct further research to find out why)
