@TheBear How has Trincao looked in the friendlies?

Fairly average so far. Flashes of skill but not much end product.

You have to temper that with them only being friendlies though so a bit too early to say yet. New signings need time to settle in to the team.

I'd be surprised if its not the same starting line up as Wembley. Amartey currently has the shirt so will continue.

Going to be tight, always is with Wolves, even without Nuno.

We'll likely line up in a 3-4-3. Lage has seemingly abandoned his 4-4-2 ideas for now as we don't have the players for it yet.

We have one or two injuries at CB which is annoying, but it should look something like this:

Sa

Kilman - Coady - Saiss

Semedo - Dendoncker - Neves - Ait-Nouri

Trincao - Jimenez - Traore

Front 3 look good on paper.

I'm not arsed about the line-up, that's what we have a manager for.

The result is far more important. We need to get off to a good start and I see no reason whatsoever why we won't be celebrating  3-0 victory come Saturday night.

Amartey generally copes well with the bigger physical strikers when playing CB - thinking back to Burnley and Palace last season. It’s the quicker tricky players where he’s over eager to challenge

Yea, I fear you’ll see exactly why we need a new defender then if it is indeed Big Dan V Jiminez.

Nah, expect him to bag a late one as he did against Brighton in March and have Jiminez in his pocket if he shows the physicality from the stands he did against Rudiger at Chelsea:D

They're not happy, I don't think we're that pleased either.

Wolves: Fans react to referee announcement - Wolves News

Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers tenure begins on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Leicester City.

It’s something of a baptism of fire for the Portuguese tactician given that the Foxes finished fifth last season and won the FA Cup.

Ahead of the first round of fixtures, the league has announced the list of refereeing appointments. Craig Pawson will take charge of the clash at the King Power Stadium, with Michael Oliver the lead VAR.

CRAIG PAWSON’S PREVIOUS WOLVES ENCOUNTERS
Pawson was the man in the middle for three Wolves matches last season. He oversaw two defeats against Liverpool – 4-0 at Anfield in December and 1-0 at Molineux in March – and also an incident-packed 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

The game featured two red cards for the Gunners, with David Luiz and Bernd Leno dismissed, and a penalty that Ruben Neves tucked away.

Overall, Pawson brandished 80 yellow cards over the course of the season, the fifth-highest total among the division’s officials.

Fan feed Talking Wolves relayed the news once it was confirmed, and here’s what supporters made of it.

Geeez Perez again...by law of averages he's got to get 10 goals and 8 assists  this season..and then maybe he can return the compromising pictures hes got of Brendan and some intern😂

While the Fofana injury still casts a pall.

Ricardo is looking darn near his best again. Harvey Barnes looks like he's back without missing much of a beat. Bertrand, among his other attributes, will seemingly spare us this season the collective agony of watching Madders aim his free-kicks at the first opposition player. Madders himself seem determined to kick on again and relaunch himself into mainstream England contention (hopefully he can stay healthy this season). Soyuncu, Ndidi, Tielemans, Vards, Kasper all look raring to go, and Albrighton, Soumare, Thomas, Daka, Nacho, Perez, Amartey (at least, on the basis of tonight's showing) give us quality depth and tactical flexibility, while Evans and Castagne will shortly be getting back to further strengthen the team (as would Justin a little bit further down the road). Still hoping for that quality RW (and another CB), but what is there not to like about these FOXES?!

Bring on the darn season! :scarf:

This is something that has always given me a headach. The day Perriera gets back to his best with Castange looking great. Two good players who are better than the bench, maybe Brendon is considering Perriera on the right wing.

I know I know feelings are mixed on this.

He said last season he wanted to try that. I think we will see it at some point. Two great players working together on the right. May work!

I wonder if Brendan is as 'Zen' in the bedroom with some new young prospect  as he is in management

"Overall she did well, coped with position switches admirably ...maybe could have been more aggressive with the possession of the balls"

Sorry off topic

There was a rumour that a Premier league manager liked to refer to himself in the third person during intercourse. My money would be on the Brodge.

....seems like he has seen the team sheet for the game against Wolves only it is upside down on her lap!!!

Why else would he be looking intently in her direction?
