If he does start Amartey, he is going to have to play out of his skin. I wouldn’t be confident if Amartey was at CB, coming up against Jiminez, who’s frankly a bastard in the air. Dan as much as he tried bless him just just limbs.

Neto is bost atm, Trincao hasn't fully settled in yet, and Traore is cough...."mercurial" (see also cack - depending on your viewpoint)

Neto isn’t available for today.  These don’t worry me tbh.

Tbf Soyuncu, for all his athletic ability, isn't as good as he should be in the air and is probably just as likely as Amartey to get rinsed by Jiminez in the air.

True, very true…. It’s the pair I worry about in general….. going to be an interesting afternoon. Dan is definitely the lesser of the two, and I just think going forward wolves will pose more of a threat than city did at the weekend. And Cags and Dan as a pair frightens me somewhat.

Bar the 4-3 game, our matches with Wolves have been very boring tight games, hopefully there new manager will open up and make the game entertaining

Hence why I wrote "bost" - broken - obviously got lost in translation between East and West Mids :)

Ricky Vesty Soy Berty

Tieley Ndidy

Perezy Maddy Barny

Vardy

65 mins in Vardy for Daky, Nachy for Perezy, KDHY for Maddy or Berty for Lukey or Perezy for Soumarey if we are winning.

I think Vestergaard makes sense for today's game. I don't think it's too early. He knows Kasper, he knows Bertrand, and can probably communicate in German a bit with Cags (both played there).

Have DM'd a few of you with the link I usually use which collates a bunch of stream options for each game. Worked well enough for the Brentford game last night. Drop me a message if I've missed you and I'll try and reply before I head out to the KP in a bit :)

I’d appreciate a link

After an injury as bad as Jimenez suffered you don't know how that's going to play on his mind. He was a bastard in the air, he may not be so threatening.

An injury like that surely has to play on your subconscious mind. No one knows, of course, but if it was me, I wouldn't be putting my head in where it hurts for at least a good while yet. Any 50/50 ariel challenges surely are in favour of our centre backs?

Wolves is always tough, but with Nuno gone they should be far less defensive minded and they may play a bit more of an expansive game.

A Saturday 3pm kick-off, there's a novel idea, I wonder if it will catch on...

Anyway from a Wolves perspective, I'm pretty pessimistic about our chances. There are roughly two trains of thought around the Mol at the moment, either Fosun / Mendes are going to spring into action with a raft of signings from nowhere by the end of the transfer window or Bruno Lage has been thrown under the bus. Strange to get rid of Nuno on the basis of wanting to play more expansive football, bring in someone they think can do that, listen to his plans and then not fund/support them. The weaknesses from past transfer windows haven't been addressed - i.e. CB to allow solid 4-4-2, CM to support Moutinho's ageing legs and let Neves play higher up the pitch and a CF. Not quite sure of Fosun's intentions at the moment, from basically copying King Power's approach in building fan relationships, it's gone a bit meh.. recently. Maybe as an investment company they are being cautious in the pandemic.

Pre-season bar a few green shoots of a new system has been underwhelming and nothing to make you stand up and say we are going in to this game confident.

2-0 to Leicester would be my prediction, sadly from my point of view and the only reason I am clinging to otherwise is that is also Lawro's prediction. Great to see Raul back fit, hope he returns the player he was and intrigued to see what Trincao adds.

Sadly no ticket for me, so will be playing golf at Cosby and seeing what joy or despair my notifications bring.

Thanks for the insight. Interesting.

But there's no excuse to be playing golf during the match in this day and age of live streams. Plastic! 🧐

Good point also, I guess it’s a wait and see scenario.

Despite this I’m confident, like you say Wolves appear to me more expansive now and will probably leave gaps for us to exploit. I’m confident, I think we will win this afternoon.

Edit: Should add, obviously streams may not appear until right before kick-off...

Ann-Marie Ashton is taking her son to the match today. He used to go with his dad Luke, but tragically he committed suicide in April this year, apparently to escape his gambling addition. wouldn't "bust" be a more appropriate word, same amount of letters, it is like re-inventing the wheel!!!
