Dude is usually so cheerful and happy to score, first thing he does is his back flip and the ridiculous face mask thing.

Today he just put his finger to his ear running in front of the home fans.

On the one hand, ****ing good on him. On the other, hate to see that. Hate to see a player at the club, and frankly a criminally under rated one at that, know full well his own fans are on his back.

He's never given anything other than 100%, always puts a shift in and every manager has always been full of praise for how he applies himself in training, even when he's not getting a look in.

To be fair, if he’s taken any criticism and used as motivation then that’s not a bad thing surely?

He was being picked when well out of form last season (not his fault) but let’s face it, football fans are a fickle bunch and a few more performances like last night and he’ll feel the love, I’m sure.

Hopefully RVN will get a tune out of him at long last.

Glad nobody backed him up for that goal cos at the time I feared he was going to come inside and look to pass.  Without the option he's had to take responsibility and that will do him the world of good.

I listened to Ruud’s interview on Amazon when I got home from the game and commented on this to a degree, basically saying strikers naturally go to cut inside, but he thinks it’s wrong because it closes the angle and you should go for it instead. Good little insight to what he’ll be educating the forwards.

Im going to be honest I think he actually missed his touch to cut inside and quickly reacted to smash it home lol

I’m really excited to see what RVN does to Daka more than any other player tbh. With his expertise in the attacking field, I expect him to do a lot of 1-2-1 training with Daka and get the most out of him.

As one or two posters have said, Patson is really lucky to find himself playing for one of the best attacking players the world has seen in his prime.

It’s never been the case that Daka is shit. He’s just never had a manager that played him or a system to his strengths. Off the shoulder and on the counter he can be frighteningly good. We got a glimpse last night. So pleasing to see.

Hopefully Ruud gets him playing like that all the time. I thought on the whole he was terrific for the 30mins he had

When I saw him coming on with half hour to go I thought RVN had lost the plot. Energetic, ran with a purpose, frightened the life out of their defence and scored a very good goal. More of the same please

We’ve faded in a lot of games because we’ve had nobody to replace Vardy who simply can’t do it for 90 minutes. Vardy can go hard for 55 minutes each week and Daka can finish off, this makes such a ridiculous big difference in terms of our ability to pressurise all game.

It reminds me of Okazaki-Ulloa role ... my dream is that Vardy still has the tools to play the Totti role, and play until he is in his early 40s!

One hundred percent agree as long as he can keep it up but was a great sign

Mate, we as fans get the players we wish for in the end..

Players get routinely slaughtered for either an off day, a mistake or just being played against their strengths. No wonder players can't wait to leave us.

Right now;  VK, Faes, Vesty, Winks, Skipp, Wilf (especially disrespectful given how much he's given is), JJ, Soumare, Daka have all been hammered.

I think only Vards, Stephy, Mads and Abdul have avoided any stick this season. It isn't good enough. And worse, it all comes to bite us in the end....just ask Chris Wood and Chilwell and Jeff Schlupp how they enjoy scoring against us.

Or the other way round. Fresh Vardy against tired defenders could be devastating.

I think last night summed him up well.

Capable of the sublime but also capable of being alone, through on goal, and miscontrolling to the keeper.

I think you’ll always get those moments with him but if there’s more good than bad we’ll take it.

I thought he'd put on a pair of Ruud's clogs when trying to control that through ball in the box but he showed some character to finish really well for his goal. Hope this is the start of better times for Patson with us.

Needless to say I want every player to do well for us but I can't think of one I've wanted to succeed so desperately as lovely Patson. The way he's talked about is absurdly disrespectful at times and way out of proportion with what he's actually contributed during his time on the pitch. Hopefully working with Ruud brings the best out of him.

Did well last night and scored a great goal.

The moron behind me who slags off “Mavadivi” and “Boutè” was shouting for him to be replaced for getting fouled and the opposition booked. He also shouted “that’s what happens when you run Daka”’. Some people are proper nobs lol

looked lively, brilliant finish, another player I'd look to move on if we get a good offer next month as I just don't trust him to continue playing like that, hope I'm wrong though.

Always been a fan but as time has gone on, that's really dwindled. Certainly not getting my hopes up but if nothing else, the work rate was phenomenal and makes such a difference to bring some pace on

From Breaking the lines

“To conclude, Leicester City are a flexible team that look to set up according to their opponents, with their main strength being counter-attacks. Under Brendan Rodgers, they have become one of the best teams in Europe at practicing this counter-attacking approach.

I hope he improves and does well, but let’s not pretend he has never been played to his strengths
