Already beginning to make plans to turn up to Brighton away like someone from Rio carnival. I'm jumping the gun aren't I?

I can see it happening, very much feels like the Tielemans news that came put the blue 3 days before the end of the January 2019 window. Not a player you could ever truly allow yourself to believe we'd get but we do so.

I'm having IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE? NO, ITS DAVE NERES HE'S ON THE TRAIN tattoo'd on my neck.

Just want our first Brazilian now tbh; even when you research clubs in Maltese or Faroe Islands Second Divisions, there’s been the odd Brazilian playing for them 🇧🇷

****ing Doncaster Rovers have had Brazilian player.

It's going to be a disaster as any transfer I get excited about is terrible but we'll have 5 minutes of fun ric and that's what it's all about.....bar winning trophies and the stuff that actually matters.

Exactly. Do not underestimate how powerful the buzz of a disastrous signing like this is in the closing days of the transfer window after a rollercoaster of emotions on the one missing signing needed. This is up there with winning the FA Cup.

I'm dreading the day we sign a Brazilian at last. There's just simply no way he won't be abysmal.

Like how he never plays Fofana or Tielemans?

Fofana and Tilemans came into the team and improved it straight away after signing.

Daka and Soumare are better than both current Perez and Maddsion but yet still don't get on the pitch.

Yea sends put a good message to players wanting to come.

With Nachos and Daka already on the bench, while Rodgers still favours lone striker formation, I doubt Neres will be more than a bench warmer even if he comes (which I doubt).

That is a legit concern, no question about it.

He wouldn't be a bench warmer. He'd play ahead of perez.

Further confirmation they are trying to sell but struggling to find a buyer, only really us in for him it seems but we haven’t made a bid. Seems they set the price too high initially. The fee which is “too high” is €20m.... so it’s very possible he will go for less. If this is the one we won’t bid until Praet is gone id bet.

De Telegraaf wrote on Monday morning: "Just before the match, Marc Overmars said in front of the ESPN camera that he still assumes David Neres will leave Ajax. But it is clear that it will be soon. An unnamed club dropped out. Leicester City have not yet officially reported and the transfer market closes on September 1.

"Many clubs find the Brazilian, who excelled during the Champions League campaign in 2019, an interesting transfer object, but hiccup against the desired transfer fee of more than twenty million euros, bonuses and a percentage of resale," the newspaper says. "And so at the moment there is no official offer for the Brazilian, who has Antony and Steven Berghuis in front of him."

'These two are historic names mentioned again last night'. What does that mean?

Maybe we’re in for the Charlton brothers Bobby and Jack
