Interesting that we're mentioned in the interviewer's question, adds some legitimacy to the rumours but the translations aren't making clear whether we're still after Neres or not.

Surely it's not him then? Rodgers seems somewhat confident of a signing so surely would've spoken to the Ajax manager by now if it was Neres.

Have faith. Rodgers seemed to imply we're fairly confident of signing an attacking player,  our recruitment team is amazing, and even though it seems very close to the deadline and nothing seems to be materialising, we have nothing to worry about.

Its not like we've ever left a transfer too late to get past the line in the past ...

So it sounds to me like he is one of a few options.  He’s probably not first choice but he’s one we will consider before deadline day.

Are we pretty much convinced it’s Daniel James now? I’m 90%

Seems to be suggesting Brighton may be more likely for Dan James...

Also the face I pull at the minute when someone mentions Leicester to me.

Strange we haven't contacted them at all, maybe we are looking at someone completely left field. Or it could simply be a "come and get him" plea from Overmars.

I say left field cause if it were Dan James why would he start today?

This guy is a chancer, he just guesses. Said edouard was going to Moscow yesterday which is a terrible lie

I reckon it'll be Coutinho...

I think he would be able to play on the right though? Has he played there much in the past?

Nope -  he’s right footed so if he played wide it would be coming in off the left - can’t see it

He doesn’t feel at all like a player we’d sign.

Might well be at desperation levels, there's no denying he's insanely talented.
