If the 8 million euros rumoured fee is correct then this is a good result for us. Wasn't likely to be near the first team and time soon

The embedded link makes it look like it’s loan. It’s permanent.

 

Pity. It’d have liked to see him play in the first team. Didn’t seem to get much of a chance.

 

So that’s one less cover for the wing in the team.

The embedded loan link was because it had been discussed in there. The 1st link is the OS link and explains it.

It’s really not a shame - premier league football versus the Belgian league is incomparable and the team has an objective to win the Europa - BR had all preseason to look at Sowah and he had opportunities - he’s a prospect but not at the level of Thomas, Barnes etc to force his way in and 9m Euros is a good return. I absolutely trust the manager and scouts who know a player - he would not have got games and was not ready to be a regular in our first team squad - simple!

 

if he goes on to be even better I would be surprised if we don’t have a buy back so we all win.

 

we will now try to get a quality winger but anyone is not enough BR was clear he wants winners or players that will improve or fit in the first team hence Soumare, Daka, Bertrand and Vestergaard - exactly what he asked for!

He had gone off the boil for some time at OHL and coming back here you would have thought he would be chomping at the bit to show what he can do, everything about him seemed flat.

  I noticed he wasn't getting starts at Brugge and for the money they had paid, you would think they would have wanted to get him in the team. I get the feeling this will be as good as it gets for him, whatever breakthrough he had at OHL, he probably things he has nothing else to prove.
