As long as he costs less than £2m then I'm ok with it.

Imagine moving out a better winger in Ghezzal, a promising youngster in Sowah, a good player in Praet and potentially Choudhury for a £2m second choice left winger :(

Most goals he's scored in a season is 5 and most assists is 4. Not like he's a 20 year old either, he'll be 24 in 2 months.

0.26 goals and assists per 90 in his PL career so far. For comparison Ayoze Perez has 0.38.

Yes imagine what Brendan is thinking if this is how it all pans out.

That is not a Carlsberg set off transactions.

He will cost closer to 10 times that amount when Palace and Wolves have been linked some of the numbers for loan fee are a bit worrying:

We are in last ditch territory without the huge money to make a big deal happen for a main target. So we are left with scraps, it is why it is. We just need another option.

Just like us being linked with every decent Lb under the sun after Chilwell left before opting for a RB who could fill in at LB…. I do rate Lookman but he’s a LW

Surely his value is much lower now

The words Rodgers used wouldn't describe Lookman's stature in the game but then didn't he say something similar last January about an attacking midfielder of quality and it was one of the most defensive midfielders the country has ever seen in Nathaniel Chalobah that we were trying to get? 😂

Oh shit

For me though it was made fairly clear they were two separate situations - the no.10 (Eriksen/Odegaard) didn't happen and then Chalobah was purely a body through the door to let Choudhury leave.

This is just bizarre. His quotes literally less than 48 hours ago made out they had one player in mind and as you say, of real stature.

a lot higher than 2 million though and rightfully so. He's a pretty decent player. Way better than people are making out here.

Most recently he has been linked with Newcastle, Palace and Wolves for £15-20m

Alternatively, on loan for a £3.5m loan fee.

All of these numbers are too high IMO given his output, having been given many chances in the premier league already and having returned poor numbers of goals and assists and no good underlying statistics to suggest he would get significantly better in another team.

He’d be okay as a backup player, but I would hope we aren’t planning to start him every week.

Thought he played well for Fulham last season but isn’t he right footed..? Thought Rodgers was obsessed with inside forwards cutting in…

Must be only me who is a big fan of this. I like Lookman and think Rodgers can do a cracking job settling him down and if he gets the best out of him he will be a superb addition

He had some of the best progressive runs and dribble stats in the league last season and his xA wasn’t bad for the team he was in.

But hes a left winger so looks more like a 2 per position signing than an attempt to solve the most glaring relative weakness anyone has in the league

Hopefully a diversionary tactic to land someone different that is more productive that kicks with his right foot.  This has a Ryan Bennett feel to it.
