Perez will be back in after his ban and this lad will come on for Barnes between 68-75 minutes.

We all know how stubborn Brendan is and so no chance will he accept defeat and drop Perez

Everton will be laughing at us regarding the mismanagement of Gray and now Lookman. Embarrassing tbf

Everton a team that could only dream of how well our club is managed and it’s recent successes. I find it weird some of our fans assessment of the situation.

Gray recently admitted in the press of his poor choices while at Leicester. Gray has never performed consistently in the premier league ever, lookman was more than fine in a relegated team.

After all these years, since when would our owners suddenly splash £30 million on a player like Berardi this late into the window, after Daka, Soumare and then Verstergard. Where did this expectation come from and then getting upset when the club do what they do each year and spend within their means ? I’d hazard a guess if we didnt splash on Vestergard (due to a defensive crisis) we’d probably have the resources to on splash more acceptable RW, just have to be pragmatic about these things.

To answer your question: by not offering a contract for a bit-part player.

But my point is that we played that whole game, shipped him out, lost out on other targets, started the season with Ayoze…just to end up exactly where we were.

But you said "should have kept Dimi", which would have been impossible without him signing another contract - which we actually offered him.

We’ll see

We will.

But we can't keep players for 6-7 years hoping they'll eventually come good. He had huge opportunities, with numerous managers who have great history in bringing through young talent.  He rejected our contract offer and was moved on, simple as.

I think he’s a decent player that Rodgers could improve. Played very well when they beat us last season.

The key word being "could". We now know this is not always the case with BR. He hasn't improved Benkovic, Praet or Perez. Didn't improve Ünder or Gray either.

The reason he leave in the end will be resources or lack off.

.. very much so.  !!!

Bringing in Lookman is pretty much nothing we had hoped for but he is a tidy player with the right attitude and looks like someone Rodgers feels he can shape into a more productive player.

The problem is, how does this acquisition convince Youri to sign a new contract!!

Fair enough. I’m just frustrated that we lose Gray (who I liked) and now we’re signing Lookman, who is poor at best

Pointless signing and a waste of money, may aswell just leave it as it is and try again in the next window. Screams panic.

So in the event that

1) Barnes loses form

2) gets injured

who do we play left wing?

he may think a premier league winner in Albrighton, Perez and Ricky is enough to cover the right moving forward. My opinion is Ricky is looking good when he’s further advanced.

The left without Barnes is a bit bare

How many chances do you want him to get FFS. How many managers (who did alright for us) couldn’t get a tune out of the miserable b**tard.

I thought he was good

I've been watching some comps on YT and although he is undeniably right footed, he's definitely not shy of using his left peg. A fair few shots and crosses coming from his left boot.
