We’ve just had one of the best seasons in our club history, finishing 5th, reaching the knockout stages in Europe and winning the FA Cup. But whereas teams above us have strengthened their first teams with proven world class players, we’re scrambling around with little time left to sign an underwhelming player. We know we don’t have the resources to match the teams above us but you always have hope Top will pull something out. It just feels like yet another missed opportunity.

Underwhelming yes, but at sensible at the same time.
