Another absolutely minging performance.  But what's the point?  Nothing will change until a change is made.  We have to put up with this until the owners react because Rodgers is going to continue with his "brand" of football and baffling tactics and decisions.

One of the posters you only see posting when we lose... Miserable bastard.

(Although you're right on this occasion)

I’m just annoyed we lost on possession in the 1st and 2nd half/Overall.

I can see why Rodgers had the mardys.

Har de harrrr

**** bitching about possession, we have bigger issues.

The only way we can play 2 strikers is if we play 3 at the back or we need our 2 wide players to be good enough footballers to play narrower, work harder to fill the spaces. Or we play with no wide players at all and that brings other problems.

For me, the way to get Iheanacho band Vardy in the team currently is to play Kel from the right-ish with Barnes/Lookman on the left and then a midfield 3 with Maddison or Soumare depending on the opposition.

I've been concerned since the beginning of the season. Our play in midfield and attacking phases is slow, clumsy, innacuarate, errorstrewn.

For the last two seasons we've been quick with the ball, direct, confident, had slick play and interchange and ran with a swagger.

That's all gone now and the only a few things I can put my fingers on;

1) Bulk incoming signings

2) Fans back in stadiums.

3) Maddison not linking play between midfield and attack on right centre mid position.

4) Bertrand - we desperately need JJ back to go at LB while Castagne shifts to LB.

5) Linking full backs and wingers with creative players.

The last few years have seen our fullbacks/wingbacks/wingers move play further up the field and drag the midfield with it. But now that's not happening. Castagna has no one to go to! He would usually play to Ndidi or Perez but today he had Choudhury who always goes backwards.

No different on the left really. Bertrand isn't making runs right up the touchline and he doesnt contribute to meaningful play with Tielemans.

We need to sort out our flanks ASAP.

Second half was atricouious today, it was beyond amateur for a club that has finished 5th two seasons in a row and won the FA Cup. We literally couldn't string two passes together, we couldn't get the ball out of our own half, and we were completely error strewn. We were lucky to get away with a point. Major issue in that it was only Crystal Palace we were playing, and we were equally awful against Brighton and West Ham. 12 goals against in 7 league games (and we've only played one 'big' team) is shocking. I can't see us climbing above 13th spot. Brendan changed the formation today but the defense is rotten and the midfield have been completely worked out by the opposition.

Because to include pappy you have to drop a different foreign player from the squad - hamza is a free entry as home grown

I thought Bertrand fixed that issue?

With Ndidi out for a month or so now I’d like to see us try Iheanacho (right) and lookman (left) behind Vardy. Tielemans, Soumare and Choudhury in a 3.

Barnes isn’t cutting it and Maddison has offered very little so far this season.

We need to take this point and move on. Not a great performance but a result to build on and learn some lessons from. The biggest negative for me is definitely our left hand side. Can’t wait for JJ to be back. Would go with Timmy there next time with Ricardo RB

Hamza's best 60 minutes in a Leicester shirt. He was doing everything that Ndidi hasn't been in our recent performances - getting properly stuck in and turning defense into attack. Reward? Subbed off and we instantly lose our shape & focus, then concede.

Lookman putting a shift in while Barnes has his worst game in a Leicester shirt. Reward? Subbed off and we lose the shape we've clawed back, then concede.

Seen it with my own two eyes now. I don't think that performance was as bad as it's being made out on here - we managed that first half pretty well and once we went up, we had them on the ropes until half time. We then make two baffling subs while they're in the ascendency, invite unnecessary extra pressure and panic stations in our crappy defence leads to us conceding pathetic goals.

That two points dropped is entirely on Rodgers. I'm done with him.

I didn't mind Hamza too much. He did put in some absolutely howlers of passes, fairly often playing it short to nobody or hitting it straight out. Thing is, his mistakes look worse than Tielemans, because Hamza is only asked to play it simple (which as a Premier League midfielder should not be beyond him) and he messes it up fairly often. But, it was his first match back in the team for ages, there was a new formation with only a midfield 2, his breakup play was great, he covered at the back, he was all over the pitch stopping Palace players, he broke forward on occasion, he was getting stuck in far more than the likes of Maddison. And we let in two goals almost as soon as he went off.

On the plus side, if we beat Man U we will only be 3 points behind them!

How dare you bring any reality into this !

The best form of defence at the the moment for us is to attack.  As soon as you bring off Nacho, the attacking intent isn't there, we end up deeper and deeper and invite the opposition onto us.  It's crazy doing that with our woeful defence.

I was also baffled when Rogers pulled Hamza off. Thought he was doing a decent job getting stuck in and harassing palaces build up play.

its just not going for us at the moment. When we were 2-0 I thought it was too good to be true and so it proved out sadly.

I've seen those posts about Mendy as well. Not sure why Rodgers isn't picking him at least for the bench if Ndidi isn't fit.

he’s at the AFCON

With Ndidi and Tielemans we'd have no problem playing 4411 with Kel, Barnes and Lookman behind Vards.

Hamza just doesn't have the positional discipline to make it work. Tielemans was essentially a one man midfield today because Hamza was chasing the ball like a dog at the park.

It also obviously doesn't help that confidence and morale are really low and the players don't look particularly happy mind tbh.

I went watching Blackpool vs Blackburn yesterday (I live in the North West) and it was a really enjoyable game. Atmosphere was great and it was really entertaining. It got me thinking how sad it makes me that I really don't enjoy watching us at the moment. We've certainly had worse times than we are in now, and our achievements and some of the football we've played over the past 2 seasons has been great. Doesn't stop me dreading our games now though. I've watched leicester for 25 years through highs and lows but this feels different, I'm actually losing interest in watching our games and that makes me sad. I watched is in league 1 and all the shite with Levein etc and it was not pretty alot of the time but we just accepted we were a bit shit. This team isn't shit. This manager isn't shit. So why on earth are we playing some of the worst football I've ever witnessed. Yes me standards have been set higher recently but they are only in line with the quality of players we have in our squad. I'm not expecting us to win the league or even be close to the "big 4" but I certainly don't expect us to be completely dominated by Palace. Something has to change fast or we really could be in a relegation battle. I'm struggling to think of anyone other than Newcastle and Norwich that play worse football than we do right now.

I take positives from this game, we are going through a tough time and we’ve patches where we been good all the matches. Something not quite clicking and it’s not going to change overnight, it will be about managing games until we get our fluency back and once that happens we will fly up the table, the encouraging thing is that we are picking up points and finding ways to say in games🏆

We may have to put the flair football to bed for a while, Ndidi missing and Tielemans and Maddison way off it . We need some steel in the midfield . Vardy and Iheanacho are always likely to score so we can't play two more attacking sidemen. Barnes must step down for now and Lookman should be preferred. Youri is playing too much and I would rotate him with KDH. Mainly though both Hamza and Soumaré should start as our shaky defenders need better cover. I see no starting place for Maddison or Perez at the moment. Our play may not then be pretty but we need to grind out victories.

Lookman and Castagne aside it was all just plain awful. Palace should have won comfortably.

I had hoped the 2-0 lead might trigger a spark or some confidence but no, we carried on being pegged back like we were at Anfield or the Etihad.

Taking Iheanacho and Lookman off was  bizarre. They were the only ones linking play and coping with Palace’s physicality.

The defence is a mess, we know that, but Rodgers is talking as if once that is solved all will be well, but I don’t buy that. There are multiple problems to address that aren’t defence related.

Is never happening, Brendan said after the game today Iheanacho can only play upfront and he’s said before he needs to play up with someone else. Almost certain he won’t play v Man Utd given he also said about having to look at what having 2 upfront does to us in behind.

All I know it whenever I see that clown pic it's following a bad result...

Behave!  I post win lose or draw.  I can't help it if I've seen literally nothing apart from the FA Cup final in the past 6 months to get me off my seat.

I air my views like everyone.  You know, it's a forum, that's what it's for.  Plus, I don't think what I say massively varies from what a lot of other people think so what's your point?

Anyway, my frustrations aren't because of losing, it's because of the way we are losing and the manner of our performances.  The cocktail of bad performances, bad tactics, bad subs, bad attitudes and no fight is a dangerous one.

Yeah alright fair play mate. I agree this season has been rough so far. Sorry for singling you out.
