Much much better today we actually look like a team who know how to play football and we are playing some great stuff, the passing has been superb.

 

Start with a positive formation and with the right players and we look like the team we should

Maybe the presence of Evans is giving the midfield the confidence to go forward more.

Tielemans is bossing it, Soumare and Maddison been quite good. Evans the rock that we need. I think Amartey deserves a lot of credit too, he's not put a foot wrong, and played us out of trouble a few times.

 

Would love to win the game, but the performance is what pleases me. Back to looking like a good team!

Completely agreed. I saw someone mention in a previous thread how much better Armartey gets with game time. We forget that we usually see him on preseason mode as he plays so little. The  2 international games have probably been a big help for us with him.

Really good half. So positive and energetic. That ball to feet through their midfield is working very well, we look dangerous every time we go forward. Think Utd were lucky the half ended then to be honest as I think we were on the verge of getting another goal. Ref needs to get his book out as Utd players are doing whatever they want at the moment.

Carry on like this and we can win it. Youri playing well means the whole team plays well. Nacho showing why he should be in the starting 11 and Evans making all the difference. Come on you foxes

Amartey is far better than Vestegaard will ever be for a 'progressive' side. His physicality and mobility is a big asset to the side when he plays.

 

Need to sort him out a new deal ASAP.

Amartey has made plenty of mistakes in his time here, against Legia very recently. But he's also had many good games, such as against Man City in the Shield, etc. You have to call it as you see it and today he's been very good.

 

I don't think anyone has had a bad game today. Maybe some 6 and 7 out of 10's, but no one is under-performing. I think Soumare has been solid if not spectacular. Missing Ndidi always makes me nervous, but it hasn't felt that way today. His ability to play out with the ball embarrasses Matic.

Yes, he's looked very assured. And as you say, his passing is solid;  far the from safe but timid stuff we had been seeing. He looks confident and I like it.
