10 or 11 changes. I want to win this competition but it has to be done. Injuries can happen anytime but don't want it to be in a game like this.  Only question is who plays right back and whether Benkovic  gets a game.

Ward

Daley-Campbell

Benkovic

Vestergaard

Bertrand

Dewsbury-hall

Choudhury

Lookman

Perez

Barnes

Daka

Perez won't be playing. He was hobbling badly at the end yesterday.

I think in terms of my own priority, (which means SFA) we should be seeing a full and complete rotation packed full of U23's, but Brendan has never completely done this, particularly against Premier League clubs, so I doubt he will now.

Also, the club knows this is a very winnable competition, so with fortunate draws and the will of the team, I doubt this competition will be patronised.

I don't think we'll see too much of a shift from 3 at the back to maintain some sort of continuity for the league, hopefully No Evans, but Big Dan, Vesteh and Soyuncu, maybe even Bertrand for Soy, could look likely.

I could see Iheanacho and Daka starting, just for fun.

And games are made for players currently in Barnes position, I think he'll get a jog out at some point.

I'm sure we'll have a cavalry all primed on the bench, but I'll lose no sleep if we're not in the next round.

Can’t believe some are suggesting Youri start this match.  Madness.

It’ll be interesting to see what Graham does here.  He may rest a few but Brighton is the sort of club that should really be prioritizing this competition.  They’re not good enough to seriously challenge for the CL but they are good enough to beat better sides if they go all out and the opponent goes 70-80%.

Mostly, but no Ricardo - Bertrand. We have enough depth now to rotate the entire squad and still have a chance to win, especially with five subs. And if we lose, we lose.

Bertrand at right back? Good grief

Replace Castagne and tielemans on the hour with VDC and KDH if possible to.

Think Benkovic playing for the u23s the other day is prep for this. Defence might get slaughtered but who cares, we have Daka.

The idea should be to rotate players, not to "throw" the game.

Ideally, though, we should be resting Youri, Vardy and Evans, and giving the likes Daka, Barnes and Lookman game time.

Not suggesting we throw the game, but this season if you win the League Cup, you only qualify for the Conference League, not the Europa. So although it's still a trophy, it's lost even more of it's allure and is a far cry from when MON had us competing in finals for the competition regularly. So in terms of priorities it's at the bottom of the list.

Brighton I could see going full strength. They would be in with a great chance of winning the thing and without European football and looking already safe in the league, why not go for it? Whereas for us with things still on a knife-edge in Europe we should protect players, especially with Arsenal up next in the league.

Do we know how the ticket sales are going for this? Good that the singing section is sold out but don't know about the rest of the ground.

Annoyed that I can't go especially due to the date. Would like to have spent some time in Vichai's garden.

Daka, Barnes, Perez and Lookman front 4.

KDH and Hamza in midfield.

Ricardo and Thomas at fullback.

Big Dan and Vestergaard at centre half.

Danny Ward in goal.

3-0.

We definitely need to start drawing on our wider squad - both to prevent injuries and also to ensure they are up to speed for the busy Christmas fixtures. Shame that Albrighton isn't fit. Hoping for starts for Hamza, KDH, Lookman and Barnes.

If priority is the Europa & League why risk Amartey Soumare & poss Daka, why not bring in a couple of up and coming lads Daley-Campbell Etc ?

Yeah if I was Brighton I'd want to target this competition

We played a strong team against Millwall so I'd be surprised if we went weaker than that against Brighton.

We were trying to get some confidence and momentum from our 1st team.

Does anybody know why all of Block G2 and half of Block G1 are 'off sale' for this match? We took up our usual seats in G1 and the whole block was available but since then the other half and the whole of the block next door are unavailable.

Seems a strange place if its simply to not have the whole stadium open.

Time will tell but I’ll be gobsmacked if Daley -Campbell and Benkovic make the starting line up

Yeah, especially Daley-Campbell. It's a real blow not having Albrighton at the moment, as I would prefer to rest Ricardo and Castagne.

Probably not expecting a big crowd and closing stands makes it cheaper to steward.

That's the obvious reason but I cant understand why there. The whole concourse underneath is open from Block L1, near the away fans to some of SK1 so you will still have to have some sort of stewarding as people can freely roam around at their wish.
