Bringing Ricardo on the other night rather than Castagne (I think they were both on the bench) was a bit risky. Would prefer Thomas at left wing back but he had a nightmare against Pepe last season.

Wasn’t Castagne himself coming off a recent “tightening” of the hamstring?

It’s important that we don’t underestimate these. I know we all think Arteta is pony (and he probably is) but they’re showing signs that they can have a go. Aubameyang has also discovered some form again too.

Arteta is finally bringing them around and I surmise he'll eventually implement the personnel changes necessary to reestablish the team as a significant force again. It's not at all certain yet whether he's the one to finally supplant Wenger, but he has pedigree, if not enough experience yet.

That stated, I believe City are, if they switch on early and sufficiently enough, completely able to overwhelm them.

Apart from the absence of young Wes, the current starting XI are, with the exception of Soumare, very familiar with each other's play. Barnes is rediscovering his talents, Daka is a revelation and Perez appears to have woken up.

Once Wilf reappears, (hopefully soon followed by JJ), I'd like to see BR adapt the formation to include both Soumare and him - Wilf in front of a 4 man backline, Tielemans and Soumare abreast and Madders in front. I'd love to see JJ able to switch to and from playing wing-back to centre-back. I think he's that good.

There's an inconsistency somewhere between City taking the game by the scruff or finding themselves unable to take the initiative. Once (or if) BR solves that riddle then there's a team to make any opposition worried.

When do our players tend to arrive at the ground at home games? Aiming to get there with my son for his 1st game about 10.30am but is that not early enough, 2 hours beforehand?

The tunnel cams are usually time stamped. You could check them.

They usually enter the stadium about 12:30 for a 3pm K.O. 2 and a half hours before.

Yeah just checked a few tunnel cams and they're starting to turn up 2.5 - 3 hours early. Think that's going to be a big ask to be there for then and then have to entertain my son for 2.5 hours before kick off once he's seen Vardy and Youri. Will try though.

You could wait around and welcome the AFTV mob when they arrive

I reckon you could give him a mixing bowl of crisps and a pair of wellies and he'd still keep his area cleaner than big Jannick does.

Should be great. Bringing your son (or daughter) to their first game is one of the great moments in life and will hopefully be the start of a fabulous aspect to your ongoing relationship as he grows up.

Give him a big packet of blue Smarties and stick him in the Kop with UFS.

Have a great day both of you. Hope there are no brainless idiots about to spoil it for you.

Arsenal having their seemingly annual unbeaten Autumn run where they face a load of rubbish sides, beat Spurs at home and start whipping up the hype again. It's imperative we burst this brewing bubble. I've just started to feel we're getting a bit more serious ourselves.

2-1 to us.

I think they all have a sleepover in Susan Whelan's office before home games.
