Agreed, I'm never one to point at the referee when we've been equally as shit.

 

Was it actually a clear yellow though? From my angle looked like a good clean challenge. Kasper contested it and got booked too.

He slid in to make the tackle but (was it mount?) moves the ball away so evans had to go through him to then take the ball ….I assume kasper was sarcastic about the decision …… not like him to moan at the ref!

Mendy's yellow is up there with the most ridiculous yellows I've seen. Not because he didn't deserve it, just purely on the how the game was playing out. He was actually booked for time wasting in such a dominant and comfortable win, it just made no sense whatsoever

Only criticism is he gave too many soft fouls for either side.

 

Think the frustration came from the teams performance and then got directed at the ref as the easy option.

We’ve had some atrocious refs in the EL this season so here’s hoping for an improvement.

 

Also I think this thread would be useful if it was kept up and used for discussion on the refs each game. Nearly every game we’ve had at the KP it’s felt like we’re being screwed over, but by the time I get home and check on here I can barely find a comment on the ref in amongst the memes and bashing of individuals.

(not that there’s a problem with either. Wouldn’t be FT without it  )

Moscow v Napoli was Clement Turpin so some EL games have decent refs

Oh yeah there are some quality refs in the EL. I meant specifically the ones we’ve had down the KP for the first two games were doggo.

yes better than most PL refs, didn't stand for any nonsense and the players realised it and then got on with the game.

Was rubbish. Booked Albrighton for winning the ball when they constantly made cynical fouls and he just refused to book them. Didn't play a proper advantage when Maddison was wiped out, and then didn't book their player. Even the other way he gave Soumare a talking to and then let him get away with 3 more fouls. Let Lookman off without a booking for a pretty bad tackle.

 

The win just masks it but I cannot believe how awful the standard of officiating has been in every game this season.
