Soyuncu seemed to know him they where having a smiley chat at the end.

Probably from when he played Bundesliga at Freiburg, they are both also of Turkish origin so might have spoken in that.

I know the fans were bad today and the team was awful and Brendan got pretty much everything wrong but this little ref today was shocking. Surprised there isn’t a thread on him already.

Paul Tierney what an absolute biased Cockwomble excuse of a referee gave that slimy little brylcreme boy everything every time he Tom Daley’d when any of our players got near him !

Few petty fouls but European refs sh** on the English ones tbh

Bit pedantic on some of the so called fouls looked like he seemed to have forgotten his cards until the Warsaw scorer gave him a right gob full, thought he let the fouls on Maddison go unpunished too often ?

Another incompetent sod today. Foul on their second and missed a blatant yellow on Soumare in injury time

Thought he was fine and not enough of a foul on Castange he had every right to go for the ball.

Was definitely a penalty to.

I actually thought he was decent lol No real complaints from me. It was Atkinson who somehow missed the foul on Castagne

From the away end, he seemed to be absolutely dreadful. Did those watching on television agree?

Awful, worst in a long time. 2 certain reds for the challenge on Ricardo and Jota’s elbow on Thomas and also a possible red for the challenge on Albrighton.

The challenge on Ricardo in particular was nasty, two footed, over the top, out of control and resulted in a possible serious injury.

In the build up to their goal, there was a foul on Vardy around the half way line, everything tonight went their way.

I haven’t seen a replay of this but I’m still amazed he didn’t give anything at all. We had him for the Watford game and he wasn’t anywhere near as bad.

Klopp influenced him clearly with his unpunished attack from the weekend. Poor reffing. Red cards aside foul on Vardy before the equaliser is so clear but not given because they’ve just appealed for handball in the box and he hasn’t given that so feels he can get away with it.

Last nights ref was Andrew Madley the brother of Bobby Madley who gave a pen for Tottenham against us in the FA Cup that was never a pen,

It’s about time something was done about the standard of refereeing….. it’s borderline WWE these days football, shamefully obvious how incompetent some of these refs are.

Streamwatcher here.

Like the rest of you, I am invested in Leicester success anyway, but after the appalling first half, then with the fouls on Albrighton and Thomas, and it starting to kick off, I started to burn with rage at it all, which is never a good thing.

That ref very nearly lost control through his bizarre decisions.

If that game had involved Chelsea or Tottenham instead of us, there would have been retaliatory fouls, red cards and mass brawls.

Poor.

The game was already end-to-end and breathlessly exciting, without the added hazard of spin-the-wheel refereeing.

To not even give a free kick against Jota for his flying elbow which caught Thomas directly in his face shows how influenced he was in this game.

We are already soft but to be fair to our players Liverpool got away with some nasty challenges.

Are we meant to just accept the standard of this referring in this game, I need action because his performance was dangerous for our players.

and all VAR would have done last night is disallowed madders goal for hand involvement

it wouldn’t have over ruled any others incidents

he saw the Morton challenge

jota wasn’t a clear definitive elbow - he knew what he was doing but he would have got away with it

albrighton and Konate was one of those ‘inevitable coming togethers’

home refs - it happens at big six clubs ……

I’m still seething at the reffing last night.

I really think VAR would have over-turned the Morton one. How could it not? I know what you mean though.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that two or three of the Liverpool tackles were out right dangerous. There is no place for this level of danger in professional football.

Ricardo, Albrighton and Thomas could have all sustained long term injuries.

The referee won Liverpool that game, that’s how awful he was. Missed two red cards, and ignored endless free kicks to us. Penalised Leicester continually. Didn’t stop the game after Thomas sustained a head injury (courtesy of Jota’s elbow.)
