I'm guessing Daka will start, we got Villa after that, and then the crucial Napoli game. Curious to see how Rodgers manages these games.

Big question is do we start Vardy, considering we have another dicey away fixture at Villa Park next Sunday. While it might be difficult to justify leaving out a player in such great goal-scoring form, can he play 3 games in 8 days and realistically be expected to remain healthy for the long haul?

To a certain extent, we could have similar considerations with Evans, but I might be a bit more willing to risk it (albeit losing Evans would have a relatively much bigger impact). Accordingly, if it was my call, I would start with the following:

Kasper

Castagne

Amartey (Evans?)

Soyuncu

Thomas

Ndidi

Dewsbury-Hall

Maddison (Iheanacho)

Lookman

Barnes

Daka

Armstrong is the sort of forward we really struggle against and actually, Adams too.

Vardy rested for Daka. Vardy can't play 2 games a week anymore, at least not how we want him. Daka is also a worthy replacement. Expect to see those two rotate a lot in December.

Nah...Big Dan battering ram up top - Walshy/Elliot style.

Give Daka a start and keep Vardy fresh for the game next weekend. Play Vardy once a week  and he'll bang them in all season

Think he will start against Napoli going to need him.

Bit hard to drop Vardy after today, but would make sense to give him a rest, with Villa on Sunday, give  Dewsbury-Hall a game as well for Soumare.

BR: Hi Jamie, I am leaving you out against Southampton on Wednesday....

JV: I don't get it. I scored twice against Watford and was a constant menace... what more could I have done!

vardy knows his limitations ref playing three times within 7 days

we bought daka to allow vards to avoid having to play twice in a week

We could see the two of them share the next couple games time wise but more likely we see the EL starting side on Wednesday with vards on the bench.

Kel will start this……

....I think Vardy will start the next three games!!!

Daka substitutions at half time, Nacho could once again find himself starved for playing time. I am not convinced that Rodgers has any real love for a front two.

Vardy will be more useful and suited to this game than Villa.

I would start the same team as today against Southampton, then go Daka and Iheanacho up top against Villa.

Nacho does seem to like scoring against Villa!

Please don’t go 3 at the back! Stick with the same bastard formation from now on and build some confidence

Defo.

Kasper

Castagne

Amartey

Syoncu

Bertrand

N’didi

KDH

Maddison

Perez

Daka

Ihenacho

This isn’t the 11 I’d pick if I was picking our best 11. But we need to rotate. If we haven’t already learnt from all of the injuries we’ve had over the past 24/36 months then we will never learn.

The thought of playing Amartey in a back 4 used to scare me but it doesn’t now which is credit to how good he’s been this season. Bertrand as a LB up against his old club is not ideal but with Ricardo injured, and JJ still not fit enough the last thing we want to do is burn out Thomas - plus I think Villa are much better than Southampton so I’d save him for them on Sunday (and I’m going so I have more of a vested interest).

That from 3 could be disastrous or amazing. It would be a 4-3-3 but with two inside forwards as opposed to the wingers we played with today.

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times but Dennis Praet would have got plenty of game time this season.
