...it was a good observation, just because when we win, does not mean issues are not being addressed!!!

Good to pick up the points but going forward it is a good observation which needs to be looked at. He (Ndiddi) has been far too involved in our forward play, it should not be happening.

No, it was not. Soumare (who came into midfield for Wilf) is even slower.

Our midfield clicked second-half because Madders and Youri were on song. When we play 3 in midfield, one midfielder SITS!

Nothing amuses me more than our own fans being grudging about a 4-0 win.

When you have to open up the Safehouse after a 4-0 home win with 3 exquisite goals, something is seriously amiss.

Wilf is not a CB .. he looked dodgy .. need Amartey in there if  Evans is bust

Brilliant at interceptions, great in the air however lacking in ball control and passing, what is it you'd say makes him more a midfielder than a defender?

Their problems are worse actually. Its always difficult to buy well in January, but

1) who is going there with a good chance of championship football next season?

2) other clubs see the Saudi pot of blood money so prices will soar..... Still want Hamza do we? £30m perhaps???

They don't have to buy, they can get people on loan. Like us their priority has to be in defense. I also don't think they have to spend huge, they have to spend clever and enough to stay up. And what do they care if prices soar? It's really a matter of whether Howe can unify them once they've patched that defence. I wont be surprised if like us they turn on their safety challenge really late (probably shouldn't do it as late as us lol).

Have to say I really want them to go down. The fact we won today is great, the fact we beat a team owned by a despicable regime who flaunt every human rights decency you can imagine   makes it even more satisfying. I'd like to think that every other Premier League team would refuse as a point of principle to sell any player to them ever for anything less than 30 million but preferably not at all as then they would be accepting blood money.

Oh you mean teams like Man city . Chelsea and even us? Get grip on realty please. No more of this virtue signal eh?

On the way home.

Shit first half, alot better second.

They're the worst team I can think of at the kp since promotion. We need to take more risks with the ball before we're winning. But a much needed 3 points with the upcoming fixtures

Clearly all we needed to do was not play Evans at the back or Vardy up front.

Who knew removing those two from the team would make us look more like our old self again?

We've done it against Newcastle, we now have to take this confidence boosting win and turn it into a run.

Keeping a clean sheet will hopefully have a huge positive psychological impact on our defence going forwards.

Clearly all we needed to do was play against Newcastle. 😂

We lucked out on our penalty but they were awful and it looked like we’d always win it. I don’t know why they abandoned their play along the left flank in the second half, it was the only thing somewhat working for them.

Or just realistic? Was a good, well deserved win with some highlights but taking into account the opposition (yes I know you can only beat who's in front of you), we still have a lot to do ahead.

Great to get three points in the bank, stormy waters may be ahead without Evans now and the AFCON not too far away but with backs against the wall, very little on the bench and confidence expected to be low that was as much as anyone could have hoped for and a bit beyond. Really noticed what a senior role Tielemans has particularly without Vardy and Evans out there, very vocal and constantly organizing team-mates.

Just looked up yellow cards status, think Ndidi is on 4 bookings and needs to avoid a 5th in next three games to avoid a ban :jawdrop:. Sorry, just thought I'd mention it.

Much needed win and clean sheet, even if they were shit.

My father in law died last month and this morning my mother in law brought round his old Leicester woolly hat and told me if I wore it today we'd win. I forgot until we were 2-0 up and I was convinced we'd fck it up again so I put it on. 2 goals in quick succession. That's for you Mo.

Great story. Hope the result has brought some joy to your family.

The second and third goals were excellent and rare moments of quality in what was for the first hour a really poor game.

Getting that clean sheet is huge, especially without Evans. Soumare got through a lot of dirty work in midfield and after a shaky start Ndidi looked fine at CB. After the first 10 minutes or so we never looked troubled. Newcastle were awful, they’re going to need half a dozen new players in January just to stand a fighting chance of survival.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers to Sky Sports: "Very pleased. Obviously with Jonny Evans going out early... When you see the young team and the experience they are gaining. To keep a clean sheet against very dangerous players, I am very pleased.

"That's very important and is typified in this team. The spirit and the team is great and they are unselfish. The first goal is brilliant in terms of our pressing that leads to the penalty. The others are really good team goals. Once we got our second goal the players got confidence and played to a good level.

"We have an unbelievable striker in Jamie Vardy but he is human so we have to look after him. Patson Daka is very important for us. He is a great goalscorer and he showed that.

"Youri Tielemans' all round game... To come back, play Thursday and today showed his quality. He was very impressive.

"When you come off the back of a disappointing result during the week, it's been a huge challenge. But we've always tried to develop a culture which supports players and gives others an opportunity. We discovered that mobility. I'm delighted for the players to get a clean sheet and score four goals.

"We can't talk so much about the [table]. We've shown over the last couple of years that we have a game that can give a problem to the big games. To be in eighth now with everyone we've gone through and with European football, I'm very proud of the players. There's still lots to improve on so we just need to get over this period now."

Back to basics today - aggression and energy was there and it showed in the clean sheet and result.

Newcastle were poor but it was nice to see us put our chances away and completely nullify their attack.
