Give credit where credit is due. This squad aren't giving up on our manager. They are playing for the man.

I don't know what to think after that, we were to a man absolute warriors. I don't like being wrong, but I often am and I hope to god that I'm wrong here and that he's still the man to lead us. That was pound for pound one of the most hard fought wins I've seen from us in his entire time here, similar to the cup final.

Let's hope they can take huge confidence than this and Ndidi and Amartey can impart their get the bastard job done at all costs attitude to whatever defender or makeshift player who slots in after the weekend.

Read on social media that Brendan was given advice on tactics by Alan Shearer. Anyone know any details on this, if so he should make Shearer an assistant because it did seem to work today.

Credit indeed where its due, that was incredible.

One swallow doesn't make a summer and i've praised him when we've played Man Utd, Legia, Watford and Newcastle this season - the common denominator? Forward thinking, fast, attacking football, unfortunately we soon returned to slow, laborious shite, but the 4 games I mention weren't a patch on tonight, incredible, excellent and....enjoyable!

Keep it up Brendan and we won't have a problem, the choice is yours if you wanna go back to consistent, generally drearyball though.

Could that just be talking about the criticism for corners we received from him on the tele?

If Brendan’s seen that and given him a call, then that’s absolutely great. Goes against the ‘I’m never wrong’ attitude we so often see.

He has form for going back to his comfort zone once the pressure cranks up. It was really off tonight after a drubbing at Man City and all those defenders out, nobody expected anything.

I hope he’s turned a corner. Dropping zonal marking is huge, coupled with the monster performance tonight its what makes this time feel slightly different.

@Ric Flairwas upside down when I seen him pre game. He’s probably in a bush eating cheese out of a can with one shoe on somewhere in Leicester right now.

Assuming he continues to focus on getting the basics right (as he himself said in the post match interview), plays positive football and gets to the bottom of whatever he or whoever is doing wrong regarding all the injuries..? Who knows if he can turn this season around. I didn’t think so, but seeing this tonight proves the players are for him, which I had started to doubt.

I think a lot of my criticism of him is that I've so seldom seen us win in that kind of way under him. For all his qualities I really do resonate with a hard battle 1-0 victory. That was pure fight from us - there's life in this side yet. I think Dewsbury-Hall is infectious.

Shearer said we should switch to Man for man defending corners after the Man City game we did so it must have been because Rodgers was listening to and taking Shearer's advice.

Or he could have been reading Foxestalk where plenty have been saying that for weeks now.

I think it only proves a lot of our frustrations. The things that need fixing are actually fairly simple to do so.

Do.the basics right and you give yourself a chance because we have the attacking talent
