Bonanza Posted 3 January 2022 Posted 3 January 2022 Would be a great signing for both Leicester as De Ketelaere! 2

He's already way, way bigger than OHL. His next move will be starting for a good size EL/CL team in one of Europe's top four leagues.
Pliskin Posted 3 January 2022 Posted 3 January 2022 Can we take the source as legit? Potentially this is a deal we wanted to do in the summer but couldn’t due to injuries?

LCFCbwoi Posted 3 January 2022 Posted 3 January 2022 I remember watching him in the opening round of Champions League fixtures this season against PSG. Thought he was the best player on the pitch, including a so called Lionel Messi. Would be more than happy with this signing. We sold them Kamal Sowah for not too much in the summer if I remember correctly?

Dahnsouff Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 (edited) Why wasn't this guy on the top of the @Ric Flair pops? Edited 4 January 2022 by Dahnsouff

les-tah Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 With Youri inevitability leaving us in the summer seems like a wise love to strike now for this type of player. 1
Dahnsouff Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 Get Charlie and Verscharen to ease the blow of our Belgian shortage.

Deeg67 Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 (edited) Not really at his best out wide, but really good anywhere centrally. Including playing quite deep as a playmaker, where's he's had quite a few matches and good results. Would be a great move, but we're a bobcat at best and the lions and tigers have already turned their attention to him. A real long-shot. Edited 4 January 2022 by Deeg67
RowlattsFox Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 This is the sort of deal we could do with getting done in this month, even if he stayed with Brugge until the summer. Never heard of him until this thread but seems interesting.
escape2victory Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 Not sure what to make of this really. Is definitely the type of profile we should be looking at and what has made our recruitment successful over the years, and if we were crying out for a forward or a number 10, then I’d be all over it. We are well stocked with forwards and Maddison as our 10, can see it possibly to replace Iheanacho in the squad if we are selling him ? Ive heard people say he can play across the forward positions and do a job out wide. A winger for me is a priority position for this squad and I’d prefer it if we got more of a specialist winger for the position 2

Very rarely do players from Belgium at his age go straight to one of the elite. We stand a very good chance if we are serious.
filbertway Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 Newcastle to sign Madders for £70 million and we bring in this fella for half the price. Use the rest to sign a CB and pay off Bertrand and Vestergaards contracts.

Brendan likes his forwards to be fluid.
Pliskin Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 To be honest, having watched his clips, it’s clear the lad can just play football. He looks like the type of kid who can play anywhere on the pitch. So I’d imagine that exactly what he would do, be available to play anywhere in an advanced position. Having said all of that, if this is genuine we would need to move now, as every top club is looking at him, and it won’t take long for him to be involved in a bidding war. 3
Incognito Posted 4 January 2022 Posted 4 January 2022 There was a good read about him on BBC Sport a couple of months ago. Found it - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58916176 1

Instead of developing his unquestioned talent alongside some brilliant players he is stuck with 20 minute cameos out on the wing playing and receiving 5 yard passes and all at the knock down price of £100 mill 1
