lol That logo was hilarious!

Harry was bound to go when he was brought back into the boardroom, the other two were shit but at least contributed.

Harry was trying to interject and offer opinions during the filming in front of that green screen to be fair to him

The black guy directing kept shutting him down. Though that bloke seems pretty decent

Its always tough to call from the first episode. Obviously Sugar must get a heck of a lot more feedback off Karen and Tim than we get to see

Credit to anyone who puts themselves up as PM - it's a thankless task if the team loses.

Loads of people hide in the first few tasks - got my eye on the Irish guy who did feck all apart from a small contribution in the pitch.

And that camp bloke in the yellow jacket

He just did a lot of nodding in the boardroom, like your mate used to do behind the headteachers back when you were getting shouted at

It’s unbelievable how shit this program is now. I get bored of watching 16 divs be useless at everything.

It’s love island in businesswear. I don’t mind a few simpletons but at least get some half-decent candidates in.

Hows Harry gone? He literally said it was shit and he gets canned.

Did anyone here actually know what Bouji was/is?

I can’t be the only 30 something who didn’t

I did, perhaps it's more of a London thing. Although as someone else alluded to it's not an especially positive adjective and is usually used to refer to something with the appearance or intent to appear posh or luxurious without much actually backing that up.

Bunch of pricks as always, great to watch them make twats of themselves.

Love to know how Sugar came to the conclusion to fire the guy he did. One guy was team leader and created an advert Sugar said he hated, another created a logo Sugar said he hated, and the one guy that tried to change the logo gets fired lol Without him they still lose the task, with him, if they listen, they might win so he not responsible for the failure lol

Pretty much as I seen it . Harry was the only one who tried to tell them they were going wrong.

The leader should have went.

What's also stupid though is,

If the leader didn't bring Harry into the room he couldn't have been fired. They need a better structure for choosing who to bring people to the room.

Literally. The only one trying to change the shit logo and make something happen and he’s the one who goes first lol Leader was a twat so will probably get to the final. Whoever writes the shows script has the easiest job in the world.

I had no idea - although admitedly I am outside their target audience.

I thought she was saying "boozy" cruise! lol

I'm 100% going to watch this later due to habit, but I agree with this. The "business plan" idea has made it easier to transition to it being what you say, Love Island wannabes in a business reality show. Pick a few oddballs but in the main younger, pretty people and let the producers interfere to ensure they look like utter goons. Away you go.

TBH, that logo was the funniest shit I've seen on the show in a long time.

And the guy who went can feel pretty hard done by with that sacking. The only reason he was being disruptive is because he seemed to be the only one who could see how bad it was.

Wrong one went. Someone involved in not having the brand name on the logo (the banana / poo thing) should have gone.

Loved one of the girls having a "Toddler" face when the leader picked her rival over her, the whole sulky wobbly lip, looks like she's always had things go her way in life and can't conceive any other concept.

The lads' logo was scandalously bad but I do sympathise with the contestants a bit sometimes where they've been set up to look ****ing ridiculous.

They're asked to create a brand and campaign within the space of a day or so despite the fact it might not be something they do day to day, then they're asked to pitch to industry nerds (who wouldn't do a perfectly polished job in that timeframe, either). They don't get nearly enough wiggle room to deliberate or organically grow ideas as you would in a normal place of work so 99% of the time they just go with the first idea anyone comes up with to have *something*.

In Sugar’s autobiography he had to point out to Phillip Green how difficult the tasks actually are given the time constraints

I think he told him that if them two and Bill Gates were given the same task with the same time limits, they’d make themselves look stupid too

Having said that, the series is edited brilliantly I think. How they always cut to Karen or Claude/Tim pulling a funny face at a contestants comment.

Whether it’s serious or not, it’s brilliant TV. Although I’ve always said if you’ve actually got a decent business model then you’re better off applying for Dragons Den

Oh yeah, the premise of the show is ridiculous really. This has no bearing on whether people could run a business with time and effort available.

They must just choose the 16 with the most outlandish claims on the applications to then drag them down a peg or two.

I used to enjoy The Apprentice in the early days and watched the first few series. Where it lost me though is when they went from offering the winner a job to backing their business idea. Not that I've got anything against that change in principle, but specifically it was when it got to the interview stage towards the end and they scrutinised their business plans and kicked people off who they thought had bad ideas or ideas that they didn't think were as profitable as their rivals even though they performed better in the tasks.

The way I see it, any candidates with poor business ideas shouldn't have been on the show anyway, only people with viable ideas get on the show otherwise you're just wasting everyone's time. For those that have performed well in the tasks up to that point and demonstrated the skills their looking for should go on to win, and deserve to receive the investment regardless of whether their plan isn't necessarily as profitable as another's. I.e. perform the best and get the prize, that's all that should matter to me.

This used to be decent in the early years but now it's just a way for these people to try and bag a deal on some sh1tter "celebrity" show and make it as 3rd class celebs.

Be interes6 to know how many make a really successful career with Sugar & Co.
