Was going to post about Pavlovic yesterday as a potential option but didn't as was fed up of us not even appearing to be making moves. 

 

There are some interesting loan options among the big Italian clubs.

Only a one off game but I think it was Pavlovic who was unbelievably bad when Liverpool won there earlier in the Champions league. Only has to be better than what we have though which isn't difficult.

I am no Martyn Glover but I was looking at PSGs centre backs last night, they appear to have a couple hanging spare. The same logic could apply to a lot of the super clubs but we don't appear to take the angle. 

 

A quick search tells me Josip Stanisic is coming back from injury for example at Bayern. David Alaba is another at Real coming back and might fit that role of Cambiasso esque type thing.

Yes I thought the same. 6 clubs at (albeit 2 on loan) at 23 years old probably says he isn’t very good.

IMO Philogene is nothing special, there's a reason villa have let him go 6 Months after re-signing him. The fee flatters the player IMO. To be honest, even though ipswich have signed a fair few players in the summer and this month, i really don't feel like many if any are premiership quality. There in the gap of too good for championship, not good enough for prem. saying that if they go down, i fully expect them to thrash the championship with their squad.
