I know nothing at all of this lad but I want him. Purely because he’s not 31 years old and on 50k. Buy 3 youngsters like this, low wages, smaller transfer fees and if one of them comes good you have made your money back. If not,  you probably recoup a fair bit due to age and someone else taking a chance on potential.

Scored about 50 careers goals as a striker over 20 years.

Not keen on signing someone based on a purple patch of goals that have come from a team that predominantly gets the ball into the box and bodies into the box.

 

if we're planning to go down the boring defensive route of risk averse passing football, I'm not sure where he fits in.

I'm not saying he is that good. But why would he bother moving to a different club in the championship when Cov have reached the playoffs twice out of the last 3 seasons? Surely he would only bother leaving for the step up to the league above
