Said the same in a group chat last week. Even Calvert-Lewin. Not a rumour but knowing our track record we'd offer them both silly money to come here.

Can we move on from the ‘he’ll do a job’ type players please !

Both would be very good for what we need in the short term. It wouldn't be a bad move.

Unpopular opinion incoming - Ayew up top next season would score as many as DCL would.

Probably due to the fact one of them would play every match whilst the other would be fit for about 10 lol

I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see us resign big Dan on a free. Genuinely could see it in our current state

He is better player than Faes, Vesty and Coady and much more committed and professional.

Leave him alone, he can wear whatever he wants. If he wants to dress up as a primary school girl, that's up to him. Although, I'm not sure the school dress code would allow him to take that colour handbag into the classroom

Calvert-Lewin was good for about two months a few years ago when evertons tactic was to ping it on his head.. he's crap!!

During the covid empty stadium season, even Iheanacho looked like a footballer during that.

I personally disagree on this. I certainly don’t rate Calvert Lewin particularly high but he is an actual striker and ayew is not a goal scorer.

I think dcl in a team that consistently created chances would score plenty in the championship. similar to how che Adam’s was.

Ayew is not and has never been a natural number 9.  If dcl played a full season with mav and fatawu, he scores 20+.

The problem dcl has (particularly in a rough Everton side) is that he doesn’t have the ability to create for himself. Something he wouldn’t have a problem with here.

it’s all a moot point because he won’t be coming here and he’s always injured. But I just don’t agree with the comparison that’s all

I wasn't comparing the two, but I just don't see a top goal scorer in DCL that's all. Ayew this season had a similar goals to minutes record as Vardy last season (but again, I'm not comparing the two)

But yeah we won't be signing him as West Ham are offering 100k plus a week if we believe the talk.

In a two man upfront then Ayew score more than DCL no doubt, as a single striker neither would do great for us.

Isn't Ayew's most prolific season about 6 goals and that includes a season in the Championship as well? Absolute excrement.

Tbf choosing between the two of them is like wanting to be deaf or blind.

Think we were linked with him before he went to Man City? Southampton being linked would make sense since he has worked with Will Still at Lens last season.
