Really well said.

I say something similar on Blue Tinted Glasses frequently along the same lines. With all the good will that had been built up with the league and cup win, had the ownership come out and said something like "we pushed too hard, it caught up with us and now we are in a tough situation, but we are determined to turn things around", many people would get behind them. But a weakly worded statement in the prgram notes after months of non communication just doesn't cut it.

For me even if the current situation is bleak, it's not the thing that I am most upset about. It's actually the utter disdain the club treats it's own fans with that gets me.

Communication wise, they could have doubled down big time on the PL/EFL changing rules, 'they are out to get us' and at least made an attempt at creating some unity. You look how the tone of Palace's recent statement is. Instead they sit there.

As I said the silence allows speculation, and here I am speculating but the lack of outright action in many ways makes me think there are deep problems at King Power. I speculate that the family aren't that united, and never been; Vichai was what kept them together. The Thai monarchy link isn't as strong as it is but they most definitely want to keep LCFC in their geopolitical capital.

The club's director of communications has the easiest job in the world.

Basically does nothing.

Woah, woah, woah, that's not fair. Who's organising the tweets when it's an ex-players birthday!? A script? An automated script!?

Just listened to some Pubcast and he says on there he thinks King Power are cutting off all revenue and we're going to sell all we can just to get in the black, I said similar to this sometime a go, ive no idea why Top doesnt just get rid or is it hes trying to claw money back hes spent before moving it on

This scenario looks very plausible - it’s also tends to be a pre-requisite for a sale of a club because this enables a stable price to be set.

On the second point - King Power have written off more than £400 million of club debt and converted it to equity, so chances are they’d want to recoup at least a significant portion of that in any sale.

At what point are we  'in the black' to enable Top to sell? Guessing club valued at, say £100m (based on real offers of £30m for Sheff W)  if Top wants a total of £400m back, based on funds invested, then, after £50m of sales, we've still a total of £250m to find!

100m? King power and Top’s family have invested over 400m since buying the club so I’d imagine he’s at least going to want that back.

and there’s the problem. No one will pay for us what he wants so he’s basically checking behind the settee for whatever change he can get at the moment.

Club is worth  £200/250m

Problem is that as you say, top would want well north of 300 which just won’t happen atm.

Really don't think it's worth £200m, was in PL maybe. Americans offered £30m for Sheffield Wednesday if local press to be believed. Are we 7 times more valuable? Bit of a stretch imo, even if Seagrave is sold for Housing. Strategy is clear I feel, try to increase book value by investing in property side of the business, with planning permissions for hotels etc, whilst selling off as many players as possible, hoping to stay in championship. No intention of investing to get back to PL. Takes new managers a few weeks for them to suss this out when requests for new players are ignored. RVN knew it and gave up, Players know it hence toxic behind the scenes, dawning on Marti with silence from Board.

Swansea were bought for £100m

The stadium and training ground on their own were valued at more than that by an external company in the last set of accounts

think it would be a loan more than anything else

They just laughed Lille out of the building for their loan offer so it would need to be a substantial obligation to buy.

I don’t think them blaming everyone but themselves would be well received. We see through it all and know exactly who is to blame.

mike stowell and Adam sander obviously

Neither do I but they would whip the harden fanbase. Which is more than they are doing now.

Just over 12 days until the transfer window closes and not even a quiet rumbling of a rumour for an incoming

Anything we do get it just going to be a panic OTT signing like Edouard again isn't it

No because there won’t be any.  As Marti had previous, I think he’ll walk one point during this season.
