To all tnose saying we should get involved with boots on the ground then yeah great, except it isnt you putting yourself in harms way is it. Also should we do so then that will increase Putins temptation to use nukes which basically means we are all royally fvcked.

I see that China will not broadcast the PL this weekend because of the overt support for ukraine.

That tells us what China wants it’s population to think - at this stage they haven’t actually taken sides and they want to wait longer before being forced to do so.

they would never want to be seen to be supporting the loser. Hence they don’t want their citizens being influenced by PL players and clubs and feeling any ‘popular’ pressure from them.

I think we are a long way from any resolution…..

@SO1 Do you have anything to add, instead of simply dumping a hit and run laughing emoji under my post? Only, you've been very quiet since your ban and following the declaration of war and invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

My question to you remains. You stated this, remember?...

Could you provide independently verifiable evidence for this? In your own time. Thanks.

EDIT TO ADD: Do you condone the current actions of the Russian Military?

Christ, that quote is scary. I can't believe we have people on this forum that are actually pro-Russia. Members on this forum stoop low at times, especially in recent years with Covid and that group of clowns that currently refer to themselves as the British Government, but this is a new level of stupid.

Sorry, looked at this quote several times. What do you take it too mean? I took it as the Ukraine should not kill every Russian in the Ukraine, just soldiers, not Russians civilians for example. I recognise that others were infuriated by this quote, such as @Line-X so I am clearly drawing an erroneous conclusion here. Help me out here!

You say the rest of the world but you’ve got large swathes of Asia and Africa (including the two greatest populations on earth) abstaining on UN votes.

Wasn't it like 30 odd nations who abstained? Hardly swathes of anywhere and probably just countries keeping their noses clean on both sides of the argument for the time being, as to not annoy anyone. Additionally out of those that abstained you can bet the West probably only care about the big 2 you've mentioned.

Perhaps I didn't explain it properly, my apologies. Videos are often shared on the internet with a caption which makes a claim about what the video shows. Sometimes the caption makes claims that are either not true, or hard (if not impossible) to verify. In the above example, the poster claimed that the video depicted Russian forces deliberately attacking civilians. My point is that it's not possible to know that from the video itself, that none of us know what the projectile was, what weapon fired it, who the weapon belongs to, whether it was functioning properly, whether the building was the intended target, whether the building was being used for military purposes (for example was the building being fired from?) etc. We don't know anything. Why pretend that we do? It seems to me that some people prefer to start with a conclusion (for example, Russian forces are deliberately attacking civilians) and then readily accept that as the explanation for whatever video could be explained by that being true. This is not logical thinking. What happened to healthy skepticism and critical thinking?

There is more than enough stuff  - way more - knocking about that proves, without doubt, that Russian forces are intentionally attacking residential areas in Ukraine. It is also Russia’s modus operandi. I like the skeptical mind but it’s all out there. Yes, people can be that bad.

I presume nuke codes have to be authorised/coded by 2 or 3 separate people to engage them. I just can't see all of those with the proverbial 'finger on the button'  accepting the order to end the human race all at the same time.

I suspect had Trump issued an order to Nuke Russia or China in a fit of pique, the US military would have arrested him. I like to think the Russian military top brass would do the same to Putin

No, not infuriated in the slightest. The allegations of genocide are more comical than anything else if such ignorance can be deemed as a laughing matter.

I have simply repeatedly asked for substantiation of the claim - over a dozen times now and since it was posted. I have yet to receive any.

I'm a firm believer that everyone should have a voice, providing that they present objective evidence to support their claims - which is why I'm requesting it. The far right blogs posted as supposed "evidence" and web pages affiliated with Russia's pillar of disinformation South Front pretty much tell you pretty much all you need to know though.

Considering china's economy is built on manufacturing and exports, i would have thought the majority of their income is from capitalist nations, i don't think they'd want to bite the hand that feeds them. Average wage in Russia is 450 dollars a month, (minimum wage is 100 dollars)  they're not exactly a prime market are they.

I really like Blinken, Psaki and Biden by the way. It helps knowing there’s calm heads on that side of the Atlantic. Also Lindsay Graham can do one the weirdo.
