Wow. I had to stop listening to this before they had finished. Brain dead. "Not as good as Maguire" was the point at which I turned off.

Wonder if we can hold on to Wes this summer?

Metro stated (via NewsNow) that City had put £68m as his transfer fee to act as a deterrent to United and some other truckers. As a straight comparison, player to player, he's way better than Slabhead. He's one of our three most irreplaceable players (Vardy & Maddison being the others). Anyway, United are currently a poor choice for any player seeking to enhance their reputation and career.

We didn't sign him to a new deal in order to sale him this summer. I doubt anything below £90 million would get him. However one views our "model" -- buy young and low, sell high (and I don't really think the "sell a star a year" is really our model) -- one thing I truly believe: The club will not be seen as mugs. We proved that with Mahrez (he threw his toys out of the pram for how many windows?) and Maguire (who was more professional about it). The only time I think we bent was with Chilwell, but there were a lot of extenuating circumstances.

Right now, we will probably sell Tielemans at a loss, and lose Cags for less than we thought (but that is more based on his form). There is no way we are going to let Fofana go this summer for less than a record fee. It would be like pouring chum in shark-infested waters.

Well he wasnt gonna get called up initially, hence the wedding schedule, you're not gonna postpone your wedding on short notice. Theres some things in life that are more important

Fofana, unfortunately for us, is destined for a 6 or 7 year career at Real Madrid. He's their sort of player and they're assembling a new era of galticos

Did he actually say “60 plus 20 - 77”?  Speaks volumes!!

I don’t think that’s what he was suggesting tbh.

That is genuinely quite a ridiculous list! Every bloody one of them is highly rated!

If Chelsea panicked, and decided to throw us £100 million for Wes in the next couple of weeks, would you accept?

I think I'd be temped to as it'd allow us to go and sign 4/5 young prospects and get a head start building our next team.

It would be a huge dilemma. I think fans don't understand the enormity of the task we have ahead of us in the next 12 months or how much we've relied upon selling players do get anywhere near to the squad we currently have.

I love Lil Wes, he is genuinely one of if not our most important players and so instrumental to how we set up however TPTB might have a different view on it.

100m is a lot of money for a club our size.

I think the club will definitely have an eye on Fofana and/or Maddison having a great season and maybe getting a windfall next summer.

These are my thoughts, I think it's important that both these players have magic seasons and we're able to sell both for a peak price. Also requires us to get Madders to sign a new contract this summer as he'll be down to 1 year remaining next summer.

France are never short of world class talent. But therein lies their problem too. Too much talent often can’t come together.

Not if the rumour about the club having an option for another year is true.

On the basis of the Maguire scenario, we’d reject and bide our time confident offers will be coming in a years time

That probably made sense when we had a solid core of players that had a year to bed in.

If we lose Schmeichel, Vardy, Evans, Soy, Tielemans, Fofana and potentially Maddison we're in danger of needing to replace over half a team. It'd make more sense to me to bring in the players this summer if we had the opportunity and give them a season to develop and bed in with the team.

I can't see us losing all of them in a single swoop personally.
