Not sure about that, we have put ourselves in position to win plenty of games without Vardy.

Pretty sure we would have beaten West Ham, Spurs and Brighton at home with our best back 4 available and won without him.

When you are dodge at the back, it saps your confidence.

We've not scored enough goals without him though. Defensively we've been very poor but I'm still not sure this side is top 7 material without Vardy, reason being that although Fofana and Evans are very good we still concede a fair amount of goals for a top 7 club under Rodgers and have not ever scored as many as we do without Vardy.

Calm down lads your hardly nostradamus! Obviously your best player breaks his leg the week before the season starts it's gonna have a huge effect.

it's was pretty obvious to everyone in attence when it happed that it was a huge blow to our season. You could feel it in the mood of the ground and leaving the stadium it was eerily quiet. Despite just having basically battered the europa Cup champions.

Always been calm. Wasn’t moaning when the results weren’t going our way and we battled with patched up teams and definitely weren’t criticising club or manager. Called for patience till we got players back and then results would turn. Hardly Nostradamus as you say. Just common sense. I think you are making the same point?.

More anti Dan cack. The guy has served us brilliantly this season. End of.

The goals conceded column tells an entirely different story

That extendable leg that he sticks out to cut out danger balls is surely not fair on opponents.

And he gets a head to it at offensive and defensive corners, which is nice for a change...

For months every time someone ran at our defence, I’d want to hide behind the sofa. Each time tonight I was as calm as anything because it was Wes and Evans.

Flawless tonight.

His class (and Evans) is the reason why I think we have a chance in the second leg. What a colossus for us. Reads the play so well. Positionally so sound. What a player.

He’s another level. Different position but same as Kante - he’s going to be world class

Weird. I thought exactly the same during the game.

Unbelievable footballer. Leg snapped by a disgusting ****. And he's back as good as he was before. Not many players would come back after that as strong. He'll be a legend of the game. We'll just have to enjoy him whilst we have him. (Evans does have a habit of making players along side him look very good though).

So smooth. Looks effortless. Has all the gears.

It makes you think what the season could have been with Evans and Fofana at the back.  Real Madrid will come knocking in a year or two, and they will have to pay a lot of money for Fofana.
