Should of won. Looked a lot better when we upped the tempo. Gonna be a struggle next week. Think Roma will look a lot better especially going forward. Jose will be delighted with that result.

Watched the boot room last night, about Liverpool walking round their stadium to take in all the boos before kickoff before beating them, I'd love it if we did the same. Gonna be a spicy second leg though

One day I’ll see us play 2 upfront.
With Brendan in charge it won’t happen.

He has played 2 up top plenty of times. It’s just means 5 at the back.

Pleased with the effort, played well for almost 90 minutes and......West "World Champions " Ham got beaten. Proud of our boys who showed that they are a good side.

They really aren't that special, if we play how we played in the second half against PSV then we do that lot.

They are just very streetwise and know every trick in the European shithousing book so we need to be on it from minute one

Bottled it tbh, but probably our best performance under Rodgers in Europe

Hard to disagree with that. If they play like that again we should be winning the tie for sure.

They’ll be a different side at home, could work in our favour as it’ll leave us space for us to attack.

I’m quite glad we’re not taking a lead with us as it takes away the temptation for Brendan to sit on it and try and defend it for 90 minutes in the lions den. At least this way he’ll have to set us up to 1. Have a go or 2. Counter attack them.

Nothing to fear going to Rome from what I’ve seen there, would have hated going there behind, but can’t see any reason why we don’t go through in the tie now.

Effort, great, shame about the set-up. Once again Rodgers picks a lone forward when a brace would've had more impact. One more time the side has dug him out of a hole.

So damn bored of us playing from the back when other options are faster and better suited to breaking a tight defence.

Smalling was outstanding.

Great performance on the whole, my only gripe is the way we finished, you've got 5 minutes to try and get a winner, their not interested in attacking but we misplace so many passes, little slips etc.

We can do these next week.
