With Man City though you always have to consider the sheer class they have, he’s alright but if he was as good as that then City wouldn’t have sold him, and to Arsenal of all teams. I don’t really rate Jesus in all honesty… neither do I rate Zinchenko I think he’s a bit shit in my opinion. We will see how Jesus does, but I’d be surprised if he returned the kind of figures he did at Man City.

I think it had to more to do with signing Haaland and Alvarez, Jesus probably expected to be the main striking option after what happened to Aguero, playing with out a natural striker last season probably effected his confidence. Arsenal appears to be a good fit and if he gets off to a good start there is no reason he can’t get 20 goals plus a season as the main striker in that side.

Jesus's figures weren't amazing at Man City; he's an upmarket Jordan Ayew.

What does an upmarket Jordan Ayew even mean? He's considerably better than Jordan Ayew? How is this meant as a dig?

Gabriel will be good for them. Does a lot of really good things without being a master of one.

Bloke averages a goal every 160 minutes so you're wrong 😂

Fair enough. That is much better than I thought but he was playing in a team that is several levels better than Arsenal so it will be interesting to see if he can get near that kind of strike rate going forwards.

I was just messing about because, like Ayew, Jesus often plays wide right, as well as up front, and is an industrious, hard working type of player. Of course he is much better than Ayew but I'm not totally sure he'll get 20+ goals per season playing for Arsenal but could be wrong of course.

That's looking at it simplistically.

He's the anti super sub.

He hardly ever scores when coming off the bench, but when he starts, his numbers are frightening.

I can't find them right now, but there was a graphic on Sky Sports News the other day that showed the difference. It was very impressive.

I've seen that being subbed on statistic, but didn't find it particularly relevant when discussing his goals per minute ratio.

I suppose you could argue he'd be starting more games for Arsenal, so may score more (alluding to the statistic you mention) and would cancel out those dead minutes he had at Man City when coming on.

I think the entitled 6 won’t be bothered by anyone this year personally. It’ll be a big fight for 7th though

Let's see how it pans out. Some of you are forgetting that this season will be a strange one with the World Cup in the middle of nowhere. Can't wait for Tuchel, Klopp, Pep, Arteta and Konte complaints. Ten Hag it's on another league on his own. He'll be puzzled why his Dutch football is not working in the EPL.

Jesus isn’t going to have the likes of KDH playing killer passes to him.

Kelechi (I know nowhere near the level) just proved with his city goal return how much it can help. He’s decent but he won’t turn them into a power house. I reckon he will look pretty average in that side.

Im happy to bet Vardy will score more than Jesus this season.

Arsenal spent £120mil now this summer after spending £150mil+ last summer.

Sadly we just can’t realistically compete with that.

That said, surely Arteta has to make top 4 this season to keep his job?

Despite this i would still say we have the better first XI and it's only marginal because of the gap at RW. Talent wise they're similar over the pitch but our players are far more developed and experienced.

Think this is a wildly blue tinted opinion but fair play

Not a chance we have a better first eleven than Arsenal I’m sorry.

Even in a really poor year for us with vardy injured half the season and a good year for them we scored more goals than them. It was our defence that let us down and with fofana evans justin pereira back fit that should be sorted. In terms of midfield i think maddison, ndidi and tielemans are all better than odegaard, partey and xhaka/zinchenko in their respective positions.
