Fox92 Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 We all knew Ward is good at saving penalties anyway. It's happened here before (think we beat Wolves) and it happened when he was at Huddersfield. 2
Popular Post 5waller5 Posted 25 September 2024 Popular Post Posted 25 September 2024 Just a thought, maybe he was a £12m keeper that was so badly coached by Stowell that he regressed to the level we all saw. Under new coaches, both last season and this, he’s inspired, fitter, has new tactical ideas, and has basically improved?? We’ve all seen (probably currently) how badly an outfield player looks when trying to implement a manager’s plan they don’t connect with. For a GK it’s a direct 1-1 relationship with the GK coach, so if they don’t fit each other then the results would be amplified more than for an outfield player?? 1 4
Jobyfox Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 You saw it with Vestergaard. The Danny Ward redemption curve started last night 2

He just never got a sniff because Kasper played basically every single game during his time here, meanwhile he's sitting on a bench doing **** all - you don't play games, you lose that match sharpness. He went from not playing regular football for a couple of years to being expected to get up to speed over a summer break. Nonsense decision not to replace Kasper after he went.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 Honestly, I think there's quite a degree of confidence issue here. Came in cold, got off to a bad start. When confidence goes you start forcing the issues, trying too hard, going for crosses you ought to leave, attempting to pull off the unlikely spectacular to redeem yourself. I'm not saying he's a world class keeper, but 22-23 was one long rabbit hole for him.

Doesn't take into account Iversen looking much better when he was given a chance.
Dan Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 If Ward sees a minute in the league I'm not going. I can't process that we'd actually be that insane. 2
Mon.is.a.god Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 (edited) Ward has definitely chucked a week’s wages to the Walsall pen takers last night. “Hit them all into the bottom right hand corner at a perfect diving height with no pace please” The guy is utter utter garbage. Let’s not forget, this is the guy that consistently dived out the way of every shot he faced in the 22-23 season whilst leaving the widest gap possible. I’m still convinced he was involved in match fixing that season. Edited 25 September 2024 by Mon.is.a.god 2

Its insane that we got relegated, drop him to fourth choice and now we are one injury/Cooper madness away from having him as number 1.
MPH Posted 25 September 2024 Posted 25 September 2024 Crikey. Not like the club to miss an opportunity or anything…

Mike Oxlong Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 I'm pretty sure that he gets someone to nail his feet to the turf before the start of each half
ithuriel Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 Feels like old times, Danny the cat ward is back. 1
dmayne7 Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 Had to laugh at the way he watched the ball hit the post for the 4th goal. And on reflection, he's definitely at fault for the 3rd. Why the f*** did he let let Justin stand there, right in front of him? Probably scared of the ball coming straight at him as he knows he can't save it 1
Hales Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 The only thing he is good at is stealing a living 1
funkyrobot Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 Thing with Ward is he gives you no hope. He plays like an outfield player that’s had to go in goal due to the goalie getting injured. He parries a few but anything potentially challenging he usually watches it go by awestruck. 1
TrentFox Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 Even allowing for some great strikes, his ability to not stop any shots on target is uncanny. 🥴 1

ealingfox Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 If I had a gun with two bullets, stood in front of Hitler and Danny Ward...I'd still shoot Hitler twice but Ward is a **** too.
Popular Post Corky Posted 30 October 2024 Popular Post Posted 30 October 2024 Iversen is a perfectly competent keeper. Why are we still persisting with Ward even if we don't feel the game is that important? 6

You could throw the empty gun at him but you know it would sail past him somehow, it's almost like a super power.
Jimmy Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 last round was clearly an abvberation, back to being a ghost of a keeper, when is Stolarczyk back?
Blue-fox Posted 30 October 2024 Posted 30 October 2024 Can someone please explain to me which goals he is at fault for

When you consider we can bank some money on Iversen for FFP, it’s a perfect example of how this clubs operation is so poor
