We don't even have a proper song for the bloke never mind a statue before he's actually stopped playing

Your wife is a grass, your wife is a grass.....

Heard that sung a few times down the KP. Could have been the away fans though 🤔

196 in all competitions.

142 Premier League goals.

He's currently 8 away from matching Michael "Vardy isn't a natural finisher" Owen.

And 20 away from reaching the Top 10. (Defoe is in 10th on 162, Fowler is 9th on 163).

I believe he can reach that.

Also, he's on 478 appearances and will match Kasper if he plays on Saturday.

He could reach 500 appearances this season!

If he stays one more season then he can get past Fowler I think.

I think they should name the stadium after him!!!

That would be awesome.

What’s he on now? I can see us getting one last season next season. I hope so. End of an epoch when he finally hangs the boots up

195.

“Heee’s….The….

Greatest of all time

He wears the number nine

He won the league

He won the cup

He shut the f*****s up” (or “now he’ll keep us up”for the kiddies stand)

Just change the last line to "He shut the doubters up" and you're golden, I'd say.

It is incredible to think we're watching a player that could play 500 times for the club and score 200 goals for the club. Never thought I'd ever see a player reach 500 games once Kasper left.

And the fact he didn't even sign until he was 25. Unreal

By the time Vards actually slows down, Fatawu, Alves, Bilal etc will have learnt how to shoulder hang and run in behind.

He'll be able to play a Bobby Firmino esq role, weighted passes, little flicks all that good stuff. He'll never leave.

Is he close to being your record goal scorer ?

In modern times at least .

  • Arthur Chandler - 1923-1935. 419 apps, 273 goals
  • Arthur Rowley - 1950-1958. 321 apps. 265 goals
  • Jamie Vardy - 2012-. 465 apps. 191 goals

According to wikipedia. Although some here saying he's on 195 or 196 goals.

Don't see how he'll score 70 more goals, so will stay 3rd. But obviously highest in 'modern era'

At the very least get the extension finished. Imagine the scenes when we rock up to play Palace in our first game and unveil a statue of him doing the Eagle in front of the imposing structure of the Chat Shit, Get Stand.

I think as long as it's within the rules of the game to OD on caffeine before entering the field of play, then he probably will. He keeps coming back when I think he's done for.

The question is, with him still scoring and playing more or less every game (so far) this season..........do we offer him a new 1 year contract?

I'd say yes, especially under Ruud

If the man wants to carry on then it’s a no brainer. His influence around the club alone is priceless.

Hitting 20 in 17-18 under Shakespeare and Puel was such an achievement.

55th all time for PL assists too. 4 more gets him in the top 50. 1 more than Kane lol
