Nottingham Forrest sign Taiwo Awoniyi on a record signing.

Why is this the leading story on BBC Sport Football page? ‘Newly promoted club spend modest amount of money on a striker no one has heard of from a middling German team’

KDH's contract extension was one of their top football stories this week.

It's just not much is going on tbf.

As much as we're all in a flap about our lack of transfer business, nobody's doing a lot.

It goes pretty unmentioned how much Arsenal have spent in recent years. Closing in on £400m in the last 4 or 5 summers with barely anything coming in. Apart from somehow managing to get £26m for Joe Willock lol

Surely Arteta can't hide anymore if they are in top 4.

Just shows how unbelievable it is what we've gone on to do in these last 6 years. We've continued to make a mockery of the big 6.

I'm in grave danger of having to compliment Brighton again, another exciting signing secured in Simon Adingra. FFS

We should be all over Nordsjælland

Their season finishes a month and a half before the WC. Ideal for him really to keep ticking over until he can play in game he'll give a shit about.

MLS is a retirement league and that’s clearly what he wants.

Wonder which American international will try to kick him out of the World Cup though ?

He’ll probably get some rough treatment there .

Mind you probably not as bad as had he joined Cardiff!

Good golf courses in LA?

Why what have you got against him?

It's not Bale, it's the endemic British derision for anything "soccer".

People don't want to like America and certainly like to mock anything to do with 'Soccer' (english term by the way).  I do wonder if it's jealousy that its become so popular over there, and now there's lots of money, great stadiums, passionate fans that they dread Americans actually embracing the sport....they'd never admit this of course.

Enzo Fernández going Benfica for just €10m up front, what on earth. Sickening, transfers should be banned this summer if we're gonna piss about like this.

Malcolm Ebiowei going to Palace on a free from Derby. Palace getting quite a collection of good, young up and coming players.
