6 new signings

....Brennan Johnson as the RW just does not give us what need!!!

Teams that we are up against with a "low block", requires people who can beat a man in confined spaces and progress into the box. Johnson is good playing in a fast paced team, where we are not building the play from the back. He will either keep coming short looking for the ball or become agitated waiting to be released and put into a space where he can run at the defence. He is pretty much a Wide Forward as opposed to a RW.

I've not watched Forest play but a few friends who are Forest supports tell me he isn't a right winger by trade, more a right sided forward as you say, which would make sense with his goal tally and assists. So I'm unsure where the confusion comes from. Plus 20m+ is a huge risk when you look at some of the other expensive options we've been linked with doing nothing. Trinco and the Burnley winger springs to mind.

Avoiding making new signings also represents a risk. If we don't shift expensive deadwood the opportunity cost is massive and it compound over time too.

We're fortunate it's only 3 key signings we need to make. CB, CM and RW. Tielemans and Soyuncu looks as though they'll cover 75-90% of their replacement's fees. We spend c. £25m net which should cover RW and then any other outgoings in both fees and wage savings (Praet, Perez, Choudhury, Hirst, a GK etc) cover the remaining 3.

Personally, I'd like us to be much more ambitious and bring in 7 or 8 and really clear the decks but it'd require having a DoR in place and an aggressive sales & contract termination policy.

I wouldn't take too much notice of a hack who scribbles for that dismal baby-boomer rag the Telegraph myself but it is blindingly obvious if Caglar and Youri leave , we will need to replace them. That won't be easy or cheap.

John Percy is pretty much as reliable as it gets for us…?

....I wasn't convinced about Trincao, he seemed to relish where he was and was surprised when he came across!!!

Mcneil at Burnley I see as a steady Eddie, he would be churning out assists all day long, just the right mentality we need in the last third. Should we get that part of our game right, we would be scoring 5 goals on a regular basis, we make bad decisions in those instances.

He's gotten a single assist this season and 0 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.

He's on set pieces and Burnley have two brick shithouses up front, so I honestly doubt he'd do much better with us.

He's very raw but the cheaper option to De Ketelaere is Mohamed Ali-Cho. His contract is up next summer. He's strong, rapid and can play across the front 3 and as a support striker.

I could see him replacing Iheanacho bit whether he ticks off the box for out wide if we then get another in like Lookman I really don't know. I'm torn on wanting a specialist right winger given how badly we've failed to get a reliable player in that position for over 4 years.

If we are signing a versatile forward who will play wide right or through the middle then I don't think De Ketelaere is that player at all.

They’re asking for 20 million for Ali Chi. No way we should pay that much for a developmental forward with 2 goals to his name .

Hope to see that Anderson Perry fellow mentioned quite soon, as this would mean we are trying  to sign some 18 yo from Indepente Profiterole of Peru  who is going to be the next Messi. Happens every window.

The way I see it is we need or would like 6 ish new faces. However we need to reduce our squad size as it is so maybe 10 to leave.
This by no means a easy task so many overpaid under performers to get out.

It's been said they will have to lower the price as he only has 1 year left. Not that it's much better but he scored 4, got 2 the other week.
