Poor by Hamza but let's not ignore that Evans plays him in to trouble there, the only pass on is to Morgan

That's a really low bar for a CM if you think that's putting him in touble haha

If he had a brain, first time left footed pass into all that space Thomas has

Nah. I meant personal attacks against him. I don’t care about his personal life. It’s best he moves on, gets game time and gets off the wage bill. He’s obviously rich but I can’t imagine this is how he wanted his career to progress after getting some initial support and game time.

Hardly personal attacks more an observation that he sadly has made MULTIPLE poor choices, he wasn’t alone in these but he was the common denominator in so many off-field problems under Rodgers.

The difference between the elite players and the rest is their dedication to their craft, how many times have you heard about Kane being a silly boy as an example?

As for not how he wanted his career to progress, I didn’t realise that we kept him prisoner to such nice wages….you could flip that and say he lacks desire but don’t want to be accused of attacking the lad.

Agreed mate.

But it gets worse when watch it back, he SHOULD have already had the awareness that Greenwood was on his heels and before the ball got to him known how he wants to use his body to shield the ball and move his weight inside the pitch rather than into trouble.

Some of our players really are technically very substandard….wow, did I just sound like Rodgers then with little faith in some of the squad.

I've said it's poor by Hamza, I'm guessing he can see him coming out of his periphery so doesn't fancy the pass and thinks he can nip back inside quick. Also the pass to Thomas in space is on for Evans, rather than to Hamza with his back to the opposition in the middle of the pitch (not defending Hamzas decision making there but you have to also account for Evans prior)

You have to question the club hierarchy if this 60K figure is even close to the truth. He's never threatened to be a starter or had interest from any other clubs so where would his negotiating power have come from?

God knows how much they're wasting on the likes of Perez, Bertrand, etc who they expected to be starting then 🤦

This is actually disgusting. Whoever signed this off is a lunatic. Terrible footballer and always has been. He tries very hard and seems to come across as a decent bloke but I'm not convinced he's even top 10 championship standard.

It’s financial terroism

He played a couple of games and Newcastle were sniffing. Still doesn't explain the obscene salary.

Choudhury won the FA Cup with Leicester in 2021 and is a crowd favourite but has grown frustrated at a lack of starts and, despite interest from Premier League sides, has seen a number of potential moves fall through.

Watford are still expecting a number of enquiries for their players before the end of the window and see 24-year old Choudhury as a midfielder who could give them stability and experience throughout the season and potentially into the Premier League.

Hope this happens, but let's be honest neither will pay him £60k a week in the Championship so if they even cover half it's not going to make that much of a dent in our wage bill, but every little helps.

Why so?

£60k p/w over a 3 year contract is £9m.  Fees of that size are not unheard of in The Championship, so if we let him go on a free...

I don't believe we've ever used Hamza right. I watched him a lot in the development side and he excelled at winning back the Ball.

He's not the most skillful but he has a good engine and is good at breaking up play. We've always used him ina defensive role.

However I feel his time here is up, He needs to go and develop himself elsewhere.

it’s not. I have a Watford supporting friend who’s fairly well connected and he’s telling me the same info. It’s between Watford and West Brom for his signature.

I think he meant the fan favourite comment.

I think that's a fair comment.  Hamza has two qualities that fans love: full-blooded commitment and homegrown,

And a natty hairdo to boot.  Everyone loves Hamza, surely?

If he’s on a free they could pay a £3m signing on fee, that would cover his lost earnings for this season.
