This is false. Ward was signed during Puel's final summer. Brendan came in in February.

 

Also Klopp was manager for his 2 liverpool starts.

Unless there was a bizarre clause in contract? 150 consecutive league games and he gets a new deal? Didn’t do it due to finances and wage he’s on? Don’t put anything past us with contracts.

Ward is not the answer, he scares the shit out of me when he has the ball at his feet .

I don't think Ward is a world class keeper. But as I've said before when he's played internationally, he's always performed very well indeed (one howler aside).

 

Watching him yesterday, he looks (understandably I suggest) very short of confidence and not particularly fit. For Wales, Rob Page has engendered a real sense of camaraderie and confidence in players and Ward like the others has blossomed there. 

 

Time to give Iversen a chance now.  Smithies by the way is a very good keeper according to all the Cardiff City fans I know and respect.

Smithies has the best CV out of all of them. That’s not to say he’s up to the job but we shouldn’t be ruling him out. He could easily find himself in the team under a new manager.

I don't know much about Iverson, except he kept our only clean sheet this season as well as saving 3 pens. But all I know is that if Rodgers keeps playing Ward we'll keep conceding soft goals it's as simple as that.

It wasn't even 50/50 though. The signs were there. The only redeeming factor for Ward was a fluky run with Wales and a penalty save for Huddersfield in a 10 year career.

Are you allowed emergency loans when a player is that much of a liability? Iversen needs to be given a chance. Stockport or not, it was a clean sheet.

Simply not good enough to be honest. Looks like me like somebody who is quite happy just being a back up keeper. Would like to see Iversen given a go until Jan so we can see if we need to invest.
