Based on the fact he seemed to be all over the place I didnt expect him to be with us that long and just assumed he was getting chances at pro clubs due to his dads name.

He has ended up being a great servant to the club and will be truly fitting of the term legend when people talk about him in the future. I wish him only the best and hopefully we will meet again in a European fixture :D

Still no idea how he kept that Mount shot out in the FA Cup final!

Feel a bit sad about this but his departure was coming next season or so anyways.

Wish him all the best and he will always be welcome back. Thanks for the amazing memories kasper!

At his best he was unbelievable- the title winning season, the Champions League run and the Cup Final. Probably the best big game player we've had.

Brilliant servant and he'll be a huge miss. Players come and go but very few actually become a serious part of a club for a long time. May 2011 was the last competitive game we played where he wasn't at the club.

If he becomes a manager I reckon he'll return.

Won't lie, I'm gutted about this. Feels like we are losing a huge character and leader of men. We saw what happened without his influence at Forest last season.

This is a good point. I think he's one of the few that can get a grip when our backs are against the wall.

Could do with a few rep points myself, might start drafting my Fofana & Maddison tribute posts.

Easily goes down as one of the best players in our history. A Legend of Leicester City Football Club and fully deserving of all praise. I'd go as far to say that he definitely needs a permanent reminder in some capacity somewhere in the grounds in future when the area around the ground is built upon.

Fearless throughout, and helped keep the club together in one of the toughest moments in our history too. Leader, role model, captain, fantastic player, loyal through and through, and thoroughly good person.
Hope to see him back back in the ground in the near future, and when he hangs his gloves if he stays in the game, I'm sure there will always be a position here for him.

Will be thoroughly missed.

I think he'll more likely go into punditry. Sure I remember an interview with him where he said he'd rather do that and he's done MOTD where he's been good.

Legendary player. Ingrained within this club. Thank you Kasper. His best save reel will have some absolute crackers. Blackburn at home and the Fa Cup final ones immediately spring to mind.

£1.5m what an absolute bargain.

In an age where 4 years at a club ranks you as a veteran, we're incredibly lucky to have had such a quality player with us for 11 years. We may never have another player with so many caps and domestic medals to his name at the club in our lifetimes. Incredible to think there will be kids aged 15/16 who have never seen any other regular keeper for us.

Without him we wouldn't have had that UCL QF night and we certainly wouldn't have won the Cup. I was directly behind Mount's shot and seeing Kasper's giant glove just appear out of nowhere to turn that shot away was as emotional as Youri's goal.

Even including Vardy, there isn't a single other player at this club who gives a shit like the fans do. He bollocked officials in the same way we all do, screamed at under-performing players and when everything was bleak after the helicopter crash he was an absolute ambassador for this club when the world was watching.

Hopefully Ward and Iversen will fill his boots on the pitch but he's a huge void in the dressing room. If your only criticism of him is he didn't come for crosses, then he's done alright.

All the best Kasper :schmike:

Probably the second saddest day since the owners took over …..we knew the day would come where his career would end but i always hoped it would be when he retired not left us….we will miss him and regret this very quickly…

Will be a legend forever, an inspiration, winner, leader on and off the pitch

Definitely our most inspiring goal keeper of all time …..thank you Kasper - good luck in Nice - you will love him Nice!!

He also played in the Bournemouth and Spurs games (twice) where we crumbled. So i'm not convinced he would have made much difference at Forest.

I'm still going to name my next dog Kasper, in his honor.

Mainly because the Mrs thinks Shinji Dogazaki is ridiculous. It isn't.

My cat is called Kasper.

He's just shit on the bedroom carpet after being trapped in there without us realising.

If it's an omen I'm not sure how to interpret it.
