Sad that he didn’t get a send off at the Southampton game. Really hope that the club organise a testimonial for him in due course.

I'm guessing he wasn't fully sure about leaving at that time. Would look weird if we gave him a proper send off and then he carried on playing for us :dunno:.

Agree about testimonial or some kind of honorary game next summer.

A Kasper XI vs a Leicester XI.

The Kasper team can have Vestergaard

As others have said, would absolutely love it if he became a manager and came back to manage us.

Seems intelligent enough to do a good job tactically and nobody can question his passion and grit.

Truly a legend and one of the best shot stoppers the Premier League has ever seen.

Leicester City will feel a lot less Leicester City while we get used to life after him. Can only think of Vardy as a more iconic player for us during what will go down as the best period in the history of our club.

From previous interviews I think he’s said he’s not too interested in management and likes the media side.

Damn I really believed kasper would finish his career with us like an eternal legend.

feels a bit weird going out like this but if that’s what he wants. Always a foxes hero in my book. Farewell Kasper

That video doesn't do that save anywhere near justice, watching that live, directly in line with it, it was almost superhuman

Probably might as well just end up being a Champions XI vs Leicester XI

Better to lose a big chunk of wages off a 35 year old player than an emerging low to mid 20's player. If Daka had performed I expect Vardy would have been let go as well. The class of 2016 is all but at an end.

Vardy will never be let go!

I'm still trying to figure out how Nice is an upgrade for his career. I can understand the reasons he doesn't want to play in another PL team but why Nice? They're not in Champions League, they're playing in Conference League and there's a big possibility they'll face a team from Greece that made some impressive signings this summer and their manager is Burgos who was Simeone's assistant manager for many years.

As much as I hate to diss my home county, the South of France does have some advantages. I doubt the players of Nice have ever had to wear tights in games.

Owner worth 13bn helps.

Signed Aaron Ramsey as well, so will be offering a decent wage and giving him a 3 year contact.

I am gonna miss him so much. What an ambassador for our club. Also helped getting Leicester a lot of recognition here in Denmark.

It makes a lot of sense for him to leave now though. He been talking about trying another challenge before the end of his career and we could do with his wages off the wage bill.

3rd highest appearance maker of all time, won the Championship, Premier League and FA Cup with us, team captain for the best part of 3-4 years, club captain for one year.

We might have had better goalkeepers in the past but he is surely the closest thing we have to a club legend who has played in goal for us.

Not necessarily my favourite player of the past 10-15 years but he’s been there - front and centre - for all of it. If we are treated to players as worthy of the status of club legends as Vardy and Schmeichel again in my lifetime we’ll be extremely lucky.

Never been one to mix up LCFC with the rest of my life but my son was born 2 months after the FA Cup Final and his middle name is Kasper.

So you're saying Kasper is moving there for the South France riviera and some extra wages. This means he's already in a proper retirement mentality and he's acting as a wealthy pensioner?

Or just fancies a change, how many players stay at a club for 11 years.

New experience for him and his family.

He has talked about his experiences of going to Portugal as a kid when his dad left Man U for Sporting CP, so maybe he wants his kids to have the same experience?

I think Kasper would love to stay if we are challenging for honours. He said it in interviews before that he believes in winning trophies and that he can do it here. But over the last few seasons, he has become disillusioned with our negative mentality as we rid of our never say die attitude (there is now only Vardy and Albrington left with that attitude). Sad to see him leave but wish him all the best. He will always be a legend here.

“We have lost different managers, lost different styles …”

He once said he loves us playing fast direct attacking football.

I am guessing he missed our days with Vardy and Mahrez and our counter attacking style and seeing from all the way in goal he must have been frustrated at times at our sideway football and (last year) poor defending.
