Absolutely zero chance the fee is that low, Chelsea just want to play down how much they've paid and Ornstein is being a good little boy towing the line he's been given.

Nope , he is probably right on this one.

Have a bit back Rodgers.

Walloped.

As I’ve said all along, I far from agree how’s he acted in this but I can’t blame him or any other player for wanting the leave in our current state - the statement is pretty damning and speaks volumes, fair play.

There's no "fair play" at all. He started all this acting like a knob. Why would you side with him I don't know.

Rodgers rightly treated him like he deserved to be treated. Pearson would have done the same. MON would have done the same.

Ornstein says "understood to be". Understood perhaps by him according to what he's devined but not necessarily factual. It's a big number whatever, more then we paid so that's a good thing. Plus, we get to spend some of it on new players (or player) - that ain't bad either.

Thingy's gone. Let us all rejoice!

If we only got that fee and nothing in return in terms of a loan we've been schooled.

Should have tried to get colwill in return. Club appears to be falling to pieces.

there was zero chance we were selling Chilwell bellow 70 mil

actually we sold him for 50 - to Chelsea

and lately club and its board is going downhill so another fu cked up deal makes sense to be honest

Don't think the mere consideration of another point of view should be considered "siding" with someone.

What did people expect us to do? We lost a lot of bargaining power when the player refused to go to work

All for giving the club shit, don’t get me wrong, but not much they can do when a **** acts like a ****

Glad it has been completed and we can move on.

Attitude wide I think we'd be better off without both him and the manager.

Its the finances , we know that now , and Top is desperate for the money. We have resisted interest in Barnes and Maddison at least. We will have to come to terms with our very shaky financial position.

Colwill went to Brighton a while ago. Your point still stands though, we should have made a greater effort for players like Gallagher and Broja. These are both being touted out and would have improved us.

Rodgers was right though. Fofana's not acted professionally. He skipped training.

Not sure I’ve “sided” with him, I mean I literally said “I far from agree how he’s acted in this”.

Fair play - hmmm well how’s it feel to be chucked under the bus like Brendan does with so many times.

Whilst I think Fofana would have left regardless, not seeing eye to eye with Rodgers was clearly a factor and something that cannot be ignored.

Probably looked at his injury record and refused any more. They have a point , he could easily break down. The thing is Top appears to have been desperate for the money and Chelsea knew it.

Your last point is spot on. Our business model is selling a big player once a season. It never happened last season and it was supposed to be Youri this summer. Nobody came in for him and as the window closed, we were as desperate as Chelsea to get the deal done. There's a lot of uncertainty at the club, financially we look a mess.

week ago we were not selling him bellow 85, so its ****ed up business either way from club

Says who? The press? Or did I miss a direct quote from the club?

Club can't do anything right in some eyes at the minute.

16. Andreas Christensen | Barcelona | £ 172,378-per-week

15. Gerard Piqué | Barcelona | £172,378-per-week

14. Harry Maguire | Manchester United | £190,000-per-week

13. Leonardo Bonucci | Juventus | £199,178-per-week

12. Wesley Fofana | Chelsea | £200,000-per-week (per the Daily Mail)

I'll be honest, I don't find his girlfriend at all attractive.

Well Ornstein saying £69.5 with no add-ons. Percy is saying £70 million with "substantial" easily achievable add-ons.

Percy get's so much right about us, if he says it's £70m with easy add-ons... then as far as I'm concerned that's the truth.
