At the end of the day we love Leicester and always will the players we sign have no affection or affiliation to the club whatsoever, it is a career for them and however much we dislike and dispise what Fofana has done he sees it as furthering his career and a better chance to win things however much we dislike it that is how he and many other players see it.

I agree and was going to post something along these lines. There are a few that have definite loyalty to LCFC such as JV but even our own home-grown Gary Lineker left for Everton and eventually Barcelona. In many cases it's a mercenary career and Fofana can't really be blamed for wanting better things. That doesn't mean I like the way he has behaved in the recent past. Unless his agent/Chelsea "advised" him not to play in case of injury, given his previous leg break and that's why he downed tools. Also maybe the board thought, if he gets injured whatever price we could get would be lost. Better be safe than sorry.

I don’t think people would have had a problem if he had behaved professionally though and still tried his best for the team paying his wages. Of course he’s going to want a seven year contract at Chelsea, but signing a five year contract with us always meant there was a chance we wouldn’t want to sell.

I dont agree with what Wes has done but reading the farewell from him in the Mercury, there may well of been some untruths from Brendan this last couple of weeks.

If i was in a job that paid me £400 a week and someone offered me £1000 a week with better prospects, more job satisfaction, more chance of trips abroard and better qualifiactions on my CV at the end of it I know what I would do.

There are a lot of abuse on this site for a youngster who will be world class, again the sheep kick in

Yeah but would you not go into work in the meantime? You’d work your notice then move. He’s publicly angled for a move and forced us into accepting a lower amount of money.

He’s treated us like shit, idc what Madders says, he shouldn’t be publicly wishing him well, that signals that he believes Fofanas behaviour is ok.

Yes Madders should be woishing him well, we do not know whats gone on behind the scenes and i am sure you and everyone on this site would turn down a pay rise of £120 k a week

His behaviour around wanting a move is shocking, he is a bright young talent, no doubt, but he is not, a wonderful character, and I hope Brendan told him that when he left

We've done well to get that amount of money for a player with one broken leg.

Another heavy challange and it could be career over.

There’s only one way to find out, does Hamza have a recall option?

This is what he has put in the mercury tonight

During these two seasons here, I have probably experienced the most intense moments of my young football career. I have grown as a player but also as a man.
Thank you to you, Foxes fan 🦊, for your kindness and your constant support, even in the moments you were led to believe I didn’t respect the club. I will never forget how we vibrated, exulted or cried, together… I will never forget you.
I chose not to communicate during this transfer window despite all the criticism and all the often false and misleading comments, even when they were coming from the club. I understood and I learned. I didn't want to damage the image of the institution and I chose to take it rather than answer. I thank Top for his understanding, thanks to the managers, to the coach who has always appreciated me, even if he chose to expose me a lot lately... I got it coach

Read into that as you will

No it doesn't - he is wishing someone he played with for 2 years well. Being civil, no more. Madders is actually showing some class, where as Fofana has none.

And if you failed to turn up to work, and played your employer for fools on social media, there would likely be consequences. Wanting to further your career is fine, and i agree that players like Fofana want all the riches and trophies, but his behavior was atrocious.

I currently despise Brendan, but at this stage there is no evidence to suggest Brendan was spreading untruths about Fofana. Remember watching the Arsenal game, where Fofana tries to storm off down the pitch, and Brendan pulls him up on it and gets him back out again. Make no bones about it, Fofana is a petulant child who is going to have to grow up sometime soon.

Says to me that Fofana thought he could get away with what he wanted. I presume Brendan has probably given a lot of time to Fofana over the last 2 years, and I doubt Fofana liked it when Brendan pulled him up on his behavior over the last few weeks.

Or the fact that Brendan acts like the be all and end all at Leicester. Brendan freezes players pout because he is a spoilt brat.. Wes was wrong I am not disputing that i am saying he lefy for far more reasons then just money. Ambition and money, trophies and more chance to play for French national team

But the vile abuse he is getting is out of order

Probably should stop giving shit to the likes of Maguire who showed the ultimate professionalism and stand up attitude when he left, and Chilly to be fair. This bellend can be scratched from the records.

Is Maddison surprised that Leicester fans aren’t best pleased with Fofana’s antics and aren’t impressed with him making a public post about him leaving and wishing him well? Maddison either doesn’t give a shit or is incredibly stupid/naive. Fofana’s been a right **** about leaving and if he wanted to message him, do it privately, not wanking over him after he’s been a right **** and essentially called the manager and the club liars about how much he’s forced the issue to leave.
