Pity we don't have a Steve Walsh or Gerry Taggart who could slide in with a tasty tackle when the rat comes to Filbo, and test just how strong that frog-leg of his has recovered...

Having said that I would not be at all surprised that he develops a training ground twinge on the day before he is due to visit and is withdrawn for precautionary purposes.

I used "siding" because you clearly have an agenda against Rodgers. Most people, like me, want him out but with you there's always some deep meaning why something has heppened. Any manager would have done the same and, secondly, Fofona acted like a child and has proved it with this "farewell" post.

As proved with your "not seeing eye to eye with Rodgers". How have you come to that conlusion? You been knocking around the club? You act as if Rodgers has issues with players he wants rid of when you have no evidence for it. Plus most managers are the exact same. Piss Pearson off and you'd gone. And that's fine but because this is Rodgers, and you don't like him, it's different.

Surely you can’t deny he freezes players out with arguably no incentive, they play well, get frozen out.

For the record I’ve quite clearly opened my blame further afield, claiming there’s is a lot wrong at this club, more than just Rodgers, even going as far as saying on Monday in another thread:

“Yes, I blame, lambast and am disgusted by the football under Rodgers but the club, the powers that be are becoming as culpable (maybe more so?) than Rodgers.

I feel people have been very patient with Rodgers, very patient indeed, the club need to be very careful because the shift is highlighting towards them and I think people's frustrations will bypass Rodgers and the club/powers that be will come under more scrutiny.”

But of course, that doesn’t suit my agenda…oh… …hang on, wait….

I’m not regarding “wanting to leave” as such, I’m talking in general.

First one that springs to mind is Nacho.

Under.

Chelsea tapped both of them up ,as well as Drinkwater, and they never get punished.

Despicable club that seem to get an easy ride with Leicester fans , who seem to despise Spurs.

Never understand that one🤨

But they won us the league.....

(Sarcasm obviously)

With Mahrez we ended up keeping him until the following window even with him missing training.  Was sold early the following summer, and we ended up having one of our best windows, whilst in this case Fofana is done final day and now we will be rushing around.

....my point, as he may have understood that his not coming in for training was an extension of his head not being in the right place to play, and it was understood by the club!!!

He is everything wrong with modern football.

Tbf, I think the clubs, owners, governing bodies and media organisations play their part too - not to mention the supporters who lap it all up and keep on paying.

But how does his wages compare to the world’s highest-paid centre-backs?

Fbref, using data from Capology, recently named the 100 highest-paid players in the world.

After Fofana’s move, 18 centre-backs are now in the top 100 and you can view how much they earn below…

18. Mats Hummels | Borussia Dortmund | £165,430-per-week

17. Dayot Upamecano | Bayern Munich | £165,430-per-week

16. Andreas Christensen | Barcelona | £ 172,378-per-week

15. Gerard Piqué | Barcelona | £172,378-per-week

14. Harry Maguire | Manchester United | £190,000-per-week

13. Leonardo Bonucci | Juventus | £199,178-per-week

12. Wesley Fofana | Chelsea | £200,000-per-week (per the Daily Mail)

11. Virgil van Dijk | Liverpool | £220,000-per-week

10. Jules Kounde | Barcelona | £224,158-per-week

9. Marquinhos | Paris Saint-Germain | £238,220-per-week

8. John Stones | Manchester City | £250,000-per-week

7. Matthijs de Ligt | Bayern Munich | £264,688-per-week

6. Kalidou Koulibaly | Chelsea | £295,000-per-week

5. Presnel Kimpembe | Paris Saint-Germain | £300,752-per-week

4. Antonio Rudiger | Real Madrid | £310,182-per-week

3. Raphael Varane | Manchester United | £340,000-per-week

2. David Alaba | Real Madrid | £372,218-per-week

1. Sergio Ramos | Paris Saint-Germain | £451,128-per-week

Fofana has become the 12th highest-paid centre-back in the world.

He is now the Premier League’s fifth highest-paid centre-back, behind Varane, Koulibaly, Stones and Van Dijk.

Ramos, now 35, remains the world’s highest-paid centre-back. He earns a massive £451,128-per-week, which is considerably more than Alaba in second.

Koulibaly £300,000 😂😂😂

What did people expect us to do? We lost a lot of bargaining power when the player refused to go to work

All for giving the club shit, don’t get me wrong, but not much they can do when a **** acts like a ****

Keep in the u23s until his attitude changes. He would’ve 100% got his act together when the window closed.

Every moment he spends demoted to the under 21s for whatever reason, impacts his value, that would be incredibly stupid for a bit of hubris

5 year contracts mean nothing but he went out of his way to break that contract.

The club had all the power but he broke that by forcing our hand.

He gets his own way versus little st ettiene and leicester but mega rich Chelsea can genuinely afford to let him rot when he tries this again in a couple of years.
